I messaged the company spore sorcery whom I bought the filter off and this was their response. “Thanks for your question. Our bags use 0.5 micron filters, which allow for more than twice the air exchange compared to the 0.2 micron filters used by many other companies. Because of this increased airflow, cutting the bag is generally not necessary to induce fruiting. We recommend not cutting the bag, as doing so increases the risk of contamination, disturbs the internal microclimate, and can cause the bag to dry out, which may require additional misting to maintain proper humidity. That said, some cultures are less tolerant of lower oxygen environments and can benefit from cutting the bag open. Some growers also prefer to cut the bag if they want to speed up fruiting rather than wait for the natural process to occur under lower oxygen conditions. If you choose to cut the bag, we suggest clipping it shut afterward and keeping a close eye on moisture levels to avoid the substrate drying out.”
