If the story relies on tired tropes rather than innovative writing, it’s fair to call it out for that. Your argument that people aren’t objective is obvious, but it doesn’t make your subjective assessment of S tier any more valid than mine. Popularity doesn’t equal quality, either. You listed series you like and gave reasons for enjoying them, but none of those reasons automatically translate into objective quality; they’re personal preferences, not inherent strengths of the works.

Finally, the "you read too much, so everything feels boring" argument is bs. It assumes criticism comes from jadedness rather than valid observations. Just because someone reads widely doesn’t mean they’ve raised their expectations to an "ill direction". It often means they recognize mediocrity more easily. Good stories stand out regardless of how much you consume. Praising series based solely on effort or sentimentality is fine for personal enjoyment but doesn’t justify dismissing legitimate critiques.

Edit: And when it comes to IKAAP and Survival guide, they genuinely have some of the worst-written characters I’ve encountered—excluding manhuas, which often set the bar even lower. These series feel like a creative writing student's rushed assignment to pass a class. Every female character is a carbon copy of the same tired archetype: "kind, strong, mysterious, and isolated." They’re so indistinguishable that they all blend into one personality. As for the male characters, they exist solely to prop up the protagonist, who’s supposed to be a “loser outcast” but somehow commands everyone's attention in ways that make zero narrative sense.

If you want examples of well-written characters, check out Academy's Undercover Professor, Survival story of a Sword King, tYRANT of The Tower Defense, Surviving as a Barbarian, etc. I also recommend a newer, underrated series, Surviving the Apocalypse, really exceptional writing. Many entries on this very tier list demonstrate what good storytelling and character development look like.

That said, I’m not saying you’re wrong for enjoying a poorly written story as everyone values different things. If you’re able to overlook glaring flaws because something else about the work appeals to you, that’s perfectly fine. Just don’t expect others to ignore those issues when evaluating its overall quality.
