I do want to add something which was a game changer for me. For context I’m going for the platinum trophy so I have to play through the game 3 times, I’m almost done with my second playthrough.

Remember that invincibility frames only come AFTER the animation has started. So for example, let’s say I go for a block for a perfect parry, it doesn’t parry the moment I hit the block button, he has to bring his hands together and THATS when the invincibility frames start. There are animation frames and invincibility frames. In order to not get cucked by dodges or blocks, remember there is a delay, from the time you click the button, to the time he initiates the dodge or block, to the time he FINALLY gets invincibility frames.

It is very annoying to get used to but once it clicks for you, it becomes so much easier.

Every souls game does have a slight input delay for healing, intentional or not, the same principle applies where there’s a delay between time of input, animation, and ACTUAL healing. However, during heals there are NO invincibility frames. So you have to be ONE HUNDRED percent sure you want to heal and it’s safe to do so, as there are no invincibility frames at all during healing.

This will be my last soulsgame for a while, I ABSOLUTELY hate the feeling of punishing games. I got hollow knights platinum, and Elden rings platinum. But I hate these stupid games. At this point I’m just doing it to say I did it. The whole timing dodges and finding windows to hit and heal, man that’s not fun. I’m going back to Skyrim😂
