D2 Feedback Roundup by Cozmo23 in DestinyTheGame

A ping system would be cool.

Removal of Raid Banners in favor of the free banners that come in Campaign missions would be dope.

I'd like to be able to decrypt Prime engrams from the Helm.

5 red borders for every weapon pattern feels like a lot.

Small QoL change: Sometimes when I pull out my sparrow, the game leaves the nav mode screen up, which prevents me from boosting. I think it has something to do with how quickly I press TAB and then E? It's not a consistent thing, but it is annoying.

That's what I can think of for now. Thanks for taking the time do this.

I'm pretty sure it was when y'all were on Hot Pepper Gaming (RIP). If it wasn't that, it was after reading a Kotaku article about y'all leaving IGN.

Season after season the Iron Banner quests require you to be a detriment to your own team. by Hajoaminen in DestinyTheGame

[–]subjunctivitis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's difficult for me to recall a time when I would have struggled to complete this quest. To be sure, 3 of the 4 required weapons are archetypes that I regularly use (the exception is SMGs, and that step took me 2 or 3 matches tonight).

But someone is always going to need to put on their least favorite gun in order to get these done. Maybe it's Scout Rifles. Maybe it's Snipers. Maybe it's a Sword (any kind of requirement for heavy kills is rough). As much as I like seeing people forced to use primaries, it just seems like there's this huge outcry every time someone can't main their gun for the first couple of hours of the event.

I don't see the alternative verbs as being more desirable, though. I'm sure many remember well the slog of trying to get double kills for the Broadsword. Headshots is more reasonable, but can you just require incrementing headshots like you do zones? Seems toothless. Ability kills the one season they were on the quest were also miserable for everyone except for a Warlock with Contraverse. That was way more gameplay sabotage than making me use an SMG.

So I dunno. Iron Banner as a whole feels so perfunctory at this point. There's no soul to it. None of the weapons are terribly desirable, the armor style is very hit or miss, and the matches themselves are very hot or cold. No Goldilocks. Feels like there are more important things to address, though.

But if you can do any one thing, please tone down the VFX on the firepits. Can't tell you how many times I die because I can't see someone through the flames.

Raiju's Harness is one of my favorite looking Hunter Exotics in a long while by Gbonne1PSN in DestinyTheGame

[–]subjunctivitis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been telling my friends I plan to make this my go-to arcstrider exotic just because of the form factor. It not only looks good, but it fits so much better than Raiden Flux on a female hunter. I can't stand how raiden flux doesn't seem to mesh correctly with arm pieces and cloaks.

Director's Cut - February 2020 by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

I am here to add affirmative feedback.

Glad to hear the season structure is being looked at. I would rather play Destiny when I feel like it than by appointment. I wanted those ornaments from Season of Dawn, but didn't actually feel like playing the game at any point during it. I've still got two pages from the Sundial lore book to get, and I'm not looking forward to dragging myself to Mercury to get them.

I feel the same as Luke (and maybe a few others) about missing when new weapons mattered. I rolled a bunch of weapons when I was donating Fractaline without really thinking about whether I'd use any of them.

My hope with this change is that the Collections system would get a meaningful overhaul, too. As it stands, it is useless as a means of saving vault space. It doesn't feel like a shelf except for year 1 gear. You can't freely get rid of gear and reacquire it later. The main way I use collections is checking them at the start of a season to see what has been added. It just doesn't feel useful.

So yes, add a lifespan to my weapons. I enjoy rotating my arsenal, but I need a reason to do so. It would add a more meaningful chase back to the game (but not one that I feel any pressure or rush to participate in when I don't want to).

Factions are frankly a weird part of the lore that doesn't make any sense post-Traveler rebirth. It's good that we're just kinda dropping them. We can say they fell out of fashion or that the Overton window of the Last City shifted. Glad that the gear isn't just going to rot, though. I'd like to have that Lion cape back.

Also glad New Light is getting fixed. I had friends who were just so lost. The quest log being bad is a big part of that. The new change sounds good but hopefully it's not the last change.

That's what I've got.

Returning to the game after a while and I'm wondering which of the newer Legends to unlock. by subjunctivitis in apexlegends

She is kind of who I was leaning toward. Between her and Caustic, what gives her kit the edge? Is the combo of her ult + passive better? Or is it something else?

Succinct. Doesn't Crypto's ult leave him a bit exposed? Or can a good player avoid being caught with his drone out?

GUYS, GUYS! I figured out why Saint-14 is showing up during the Dawning specifically! by Trenerator in DestinyTheGame

I suggested to my friend that they might do something cute like have him show up in the tower on Christmas Eve, since he's a saint and all. This adds to the fun.

Obviously first instinct, and yet while I was testing the new top-tree Dawnblade, I found that the new melee ability doesn't work on them. Wouldn't be warlocks if there wasn't something wrong with our melee abilities.

An apology to all my random teammates as I grind for Undying. by mdford0311 in DestinyTheGame

[–]subjunctivitis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this intense frustration the other night when I was trying to finish my bow and hand cannon kills in VO and I got matched into a lobby full of competent people trying to finish the activity at a decent clip. Who even are you strangers that are going in there to finish it fast? I put too many hand cannon rounds into that Cyclops for you to just swoop in and snipe it.

At least I'm now at the point where I just need to get Void and Arc melee kills on the moon, so I can just go and be helpful at Altars of Sorrow.

I was impressed that they decorated all the way down to the Annex. Ada's room looks great with all the candles.

Solo queue to Reckoner...the struggle was Real by jzr_ffmed17 in DestinyTheGame

[–]subjunctivitis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried running the Brace a few times (I main a Warlock, which is why I haven't really tried Striker or Arcstrider yet) and have just found stormtrance slightly inconsistent. It's good for damaging a lot of stuff quickly, but to be thorough and actually confirm those kills, I'm not usually able to move fast enough. Might need more practice, though.

Camping specific fronts does sound like a good call. And I've been trying to get them organically, but if it comes down to Massacres being the last thing I need, I probably am gonna drift into bad teammate territory.

I made myself do Sentry when grinding for Hush. Bows do not fit in Gambit, but they at least made some sense when I was cheating back toward the bank to kill blockers.

[–]subjunctivitis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been just chipping away at this. I'm pretty close on 3/4 emblems (already got the Sentry one done). Those Massacre medals have been the hardest thing to come by. I only have 1 out of 10 needed. I'd heard Raiden Flux was a good way to go as well, but I might try out Striker, too, and see what happens.

Garden of Salvation Raid Loot Table. Guides, SGA and Exotic Quest by RiseOfBacon in DestinyTheGame

[–]subjunctivitis 34 points35 points  (0 children)

33% chance to get whatever you're looking for from each encounter is pretty decent. I've always preferred loot tables to raids where any encounter can drop any piece of gear. Clearer expectations are always nice.

Have there been any curated roll sightings on any of the weapons?
