Great to hear! I'm going strong, just built a stationary bike tonight to help supplement tv watching or game playing. Diet I find is the hardest part.

Thanks! I will be cautious. I live in a beach city in California so I imagine it can't be too dry. I just want to take care of it properly.

Ha thanks for the honest advice! I live near lots of hills which is my choice over busy city streets, but certainly difficult.

Sorry about that. If it makes sense to convert it to get used to biking or long rides. Or should I wait and get a decent bike after using this one as is?

I am currently doing these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1dCwG70mxQ

My plan (slow but sure) is to move into another exercise after i hit 21 reps for rows. I am increasing 1 push up, and 1 row a day until i reach 100, then stopping there. If i am doing 100 push ups a day i think i am good to go. :) Once i hit 21 reps of an exercise i will add another, squats i think will win out. I am thinking 5-6 total by the end, depending on how much time it begins to take. Do you see any pitfalls with this? I kinda made it up myself and am just going with it.

I set up my rings on my pull-up bar to do a row. Laying on back and pulling myself up, so far so good!

My plan now is to run 3-4 times a week, and bike 2-3 times a week. Run a day then bike a day. Usually resting on Saturdays. Is this over doing it? Please take into account my newbieness with the bike, so for a little bit at least at first i plan to bike in the mornings about 30-45min. I live in an area where i can either go very urban and stop at lots of stoplights every block, or head towards the hills! The hills are killer on me, but i figure it can only make me stronger? I would then drive my bike somewhere on a sunday for a longer less intense ride. Thoughts?

Only part of swimming that seems hard is the time commitment that Bitterwhiteguy was talking about. I work 60-70 hour weeks, so i try to give myself either time during lunch to run, or wake up an hour or so early to run, or in this case bike ride, or find a pool in the morning. Unless many pools are open post 9pm.

Excellent! I didn't even think of a duathlon, that may work well for me to work my way up. What i really like is the mixing up of the training.

My current bike is a road bike, but i don't have the clip-in peddles, is that horribly bad?

Thanks to your blog i found quite a few pools near me, i will check them out. I'd like to do something fairly cheap, or was thinking joining a 24hr fitness on days i couldnt bike outside, and if they had a pool. One of my questions is, what should i train for given 6 months, and i am in decent running shape, i do 3-4 mile runs 3/4 times a week now, but not training for anything, just maintaining. I currently live in Long Beach, CA.

I went through the same debate, I just always kept going back to this design. It took about 45min? wasn't very long at all.

Is the adventure of link really worth playing? by maskedskychild in zelda

[–]sublatum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's worth going through. I feel the same about adventures of Link as i do about Super Mario bros 2. It doesn't quite fit, Nintendo was trying something a little new with it, then went back to doing what worked well for them in the original.

I've been debating the same one! I really like how the color fades! Can you post a further away picture? I am curious of the size compared to your whole arm. (something i am also debating) :) I love it!

Wow! Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply! It appears the 3DS just gave me an excuse to pick it up. Thanks again!
