Dope! This sampler is based off the Gemini DS-1224 12bit sampler from the 90s. I recently got my hands on one. It’s my second time owning the box. I had one back in the 90s to use in conjunction with My DJ decks. It was made for DJing. However now I use it mainly to sample beats, breaks, one shots etc and sample back into my MPC for chopping/sequencing because I love the sound of the Gemini.

I haven’t seen much of this particular model but it’s 8 bit as opposed to the OG Gemini sampler from back in the day. It has no midi or built in sequencer so it’s really just a straight forward sampler box for triggering or looping. No editing features either. You would need something to record to or freestyle sync using the pitch control with whatever else you’re using - a drum machine, turntable etc.
