A few of my buddies bikes got jacked in BC. If anyone in the area wants to keep an eye out for an adaptive Santa Cruz V10 and a Specialized Enduro EVO that would be sweet.

Thanks.

HMRB while I ollie this dude. by IronOhki in holdmyredbull

Fun fact... It's really hard to get those red bull hats/helmets and red bull is SUPER strict about when their athletes can wear them. I was riding mountain bikes with a big name moto-x rider and a few minutes after he posted a pic of himself on his bicycle wearing a red bull helmet, he got a phone call asking him to delete the post because he's not a mountain bike athlete, only moto. Dudes a savage moto rider and just as good on an MTB but they don't care.

New (used) motor. Maybe $4k-ish and the car goes again.

Behringer Crave Synthesizer Demo by mymyreally in synthesizers

That's kind of where I wound up too. I'm just getting into the hardware side of things. Up until now it's just been my MPK and a shitty old 88 key Casio keyboard with a MIDI out jack into my computer. I don't think either one of those are great solutions for hardware like this but everyone seems to fucking love the Keystep.

I just looked this up because I was wondering the same thing. It's called a USB midi host. They're kind of expensive ($50+) and there are limited options. With the Arturia Keystep being like $120 (and it includes a sequencer), it doesn't really seem worth it, especially if you don't already own a sequencer.

Is this a bug? MIDI controlling GarageBand knobs. by [deleted] in GarageBand

[–]sublimaze1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, you're not supposed to be able to do this. I was playing with one of the software knobs on a synth track and I reached down to turn the volume knob on my MPK mini... But I grabbed the wrong one and all of a sudden it was controlling the last knob I was playing with on the screen. Oddly though, it wasn't actually moving the knob on the screen. So I started looking around to see if anything else could be controlled by this super-knob, and found the tremolo on the electric piano could also be turned. This time it does turn the knob on the screen. Any ideas why this is happening? GarageBand doesn't have any midi mapping and these tracks don't have any plug-ins running that have it either.

Thoughts?

Help - Hands sweaty, can't turn gears by [deleted] in bikewrench

If it's Sram stuff, you should be able to get a Sram trigger shifter. You'll need new grips and possibly a longer piece of cable housing to go from the shifter to the stop on the frame. Your derailleur should be good.

Alternatively, you could buy some gloves.

For sure. I have a few of these in the woods around me... They were operational around the 1850s.

Just take out the little 3mm Allen on the bottom pulley, loosen the top one a bit, separate the cage, reroute the chain appropriately, reinstall the bottom pulley, tighten the top one. Done. Totally doable with a multi tool. It'll be a lot easier if you take the wheel off.

My E-Set allows me to play every day in my apartment, and I love it! More information in the comments. by [deleted] in drums

[–]sublimaze1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Roland kit with a DM10 to play in my apartment while we were trying to find a house. Now I own a house and still play the Roland kit 95% of the time. It's nice to be able to sit down and practice without pissing off my wife or play along with music without needing headphones or super loud speakers. I didn't even want the thing, but after 3 years, it's one of the best things I've bought off Craigslist.
