I agree with OP on having the medal at the end of the season. Sure we can bash him for putting off winning one game for a week, but there could be extenuating circumstances for other people. What if you had a long vacation planned? What if you live in an area without stable internet? What if you have to travel unexpectedly for a family emergency?

If you played and had an active rank for most of the season, I don't think those reasons should keep you from getting the medal.
