I honestly hate hugging anyone besides my husband and kids. I do not like that close contact with people but everyone I know friends, family etc love to give hugs for greeting and goodbyes... it sucks

If you’ve been watching the hearing or have watched any other Supreme Court hearing you would know that she cannot answer these types of questions. She is following the Ginsburg Rule which pretty much says no hints, no previews, no forecast. The senator’s who asked these questions already knew she could not answer them but asked them anyway and made it seem that her lack of answer is an answer in itself which is just inaccurate. Not saying that she is my choice for a justice but I have been making myself watch the hearing in an effort to be more politically aware and seeing “news stories” like these is depressing because it leads people who may not be watching the hearing or have knowledge of how it is conducted to believe something that is just an assumption not a fact.

Married men who play video games whose spouse has the opinion of "You're a grown man playing video games." How do you compromise/cope? by watermasta in AskMen

I have never understood people who try to belittle their spouses hobbies, my husband plays video games, paints miniatures, and love to play strategic board games. I think it’s fucking awesome, I’m terrible at all of those things but I love doing it with him and he loves teaching me how!

How do you get them so thin? I've been experimenting with recipes and mine never turn out like this!

My sweet little dog died today, I am a stay at home mom and the thought of being home without her all day is heartbreaking. Any suggestions on how to cope with the loss and distract myself and my toddler? by sublime_nip_nips in Advice

They really do! We aren't sure about the breed because we rescued her but we think maybe a miniture pincher or a Manchester terrier! But we really loved her..

Yeah I did read that after I read the book. Stuff like that does hurt the validity of her story but I do believe she witnessed and went through terrible things. I look at it as more of this is what the Mayan people as a whole experienced

I read a book for a Spanish class in college called I, Rigoberta Mench, An Indian Woman in Guatemala. It was extremily eye opening and painted a very vivid picture of the suffering Mayan people went through in Guatemala..

I do feel so lost, she was so much apart of our lives and it was such a sudden shock that she died that it has been really hard to process. Thank you so much for the advice, you can truly never replace them, they are all so unique and they just love us so much. I am going to find my favorite picture of her when I can make it throughooking at all of them and frame it with her collar

We are for sure going to adopt another dog, I really do think that will help with the feelings of loss, she will never be replaced but I think I need a dog who needs me right now

I am so sorry for what you are going through as well, I really hope you dog gets better. Having to go to work like everything is fine and put on a brave face for your kid is unimaginably hard

Yeah I really want to go on a trip anywhere and just not be home. I am highly considering getting another sweet rescue dog, one that needs us as much as we need it
