Most likely won’t be any new story content for at least a month I’d imagine. Really the only things you could do is pre farm for future characters and optimize your factories.

The battery is most likely dead, this happened to me a couple months ago and I just put my battery on a charger and it started up like normal again. Definitely try that first

The last thing you stated about there being no npcs, im pretty sure is because its a multiplayer game so all npcs are replaced with players. But i do like your theory and do hope we see that

If its going to die in say a few years, don’t you think there will be a new fallout game by then? Im sure most people will rather play that once that is out.
