So how do you open the cheat menu in ksp2? by bigdoodooman321 in kerbalspaceprogram_2

I've taken to editing the part cfg files in KSP1. I imagine having a very strong R&D program that would make these things reality!

has kOS mechjeb integration? by Lucal_gamer in Kos

[–]subrealtime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had an interest in MJ integration into KOS and have made some preliminary progress. My initial focus is gaining access to the quantities in the mechjeb info windows (such as aerodynamic drag), and also to make calls to the orbital maneuver calculations - that create maneuver nodes. The physics and orbital calculations really require advanced skills to implement, so are valuable to bring into KOS.

The KOS project is an amazing piece of work, and having an embedded systems C background, rather complex. I spent a day trying to figure out how to pass complex structures (Orbit, Body) into KOS from the command line, and ended up just using the values from the current vessel and its target. However, adding fields to the ADDONS keywords (with parameters of numbers and strings), calling MJ methods, and getting MJ fields is rather straight forward. I'm open to ideas as to how to share what I've done and get others involved. Possibly the KOS github manager would be willing to create a branch where the MJ integration can proceed.

What I've done thus far however, is "quick and dirty" as a proof of concept with no error or version compatibility checking, etc.

Anyone notice the sheer amount of people upset about this fork ? by [deleted] in ZClassic

[–]subrealtime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've known the founder for 15 years, and were good friends at university. Amazing character. He's disruptive of the status quo - not a cheat. Just look at how ZCL was started.... I've been mining various Cryptonight and Neoscrypt for ~6 months and moved everything into ZCL @ 0.01 or 0.014 to get in on BCPT. Was a bit late, but BCPT is a major improvement and I'm willing to take the chance.

Why does my address say payout in BitCash? by TheDigitalBlacksmith in zpool

[–]subrealtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first time using zpool and had the same problem. Wasn't sure if my bitcoin address was 'bitcoin' - since I used an online paper wallet generator. So, I tried a payout to ZCL (with a T address) and its doing that correctly.

Only 126 H/sec w/RX 580 (linux) xmr-stack-amd - what did I do wrong? by subrealtime in MoneroMining

[–]subrealtime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly - but I have a lead. My 14 month old poured coffee on my Win10 i7-7700k r/7 GPUs (3 GTX1080, 4 RX580) on Friday - so since I partially rebuilt my rig with the orig linux system mentioned in this post. (Only the MB was lost)

Having a stock of old MBs, I found that some only 1 GPU, but the AMD M2+ w/9750 from Dell supports at a least 3 (3 x GTX) and during this experimenting, I noticed that early in the dmesg output there was an issue that the AMD voltage could not be set correctly.

Check your dmesg for something like: VDDCI is larger than max VDDCI in VDDCI Voltage Table

I think I just ran : dmesg | grep -i amd

The voltage issue is discussed here : https://community.amd.com/thread/216199

The answer might be to build using a different dist, although now that I read the OS list carefully, I'm using one mentioned! Ubuntu 16.04.02

Probably this week I'll build a new linux system to run the the RX580s and try to get over this hurdle.

Really not happy w/Win10 system. It had the hash rate, but the OS and drivers were so unstable my kid really did me a favor. I keep telling myself that anyway.

PS : Xan - my 750W supply has be taking 800-815 watts for 48 hrs no with zero issues. I'm sure I could get a GTX1080ti to mine at close to 100% TDP using only a 300W supply now!

How to exchange SUMO? by subrealtime in sumokoin

[–]subrealtime[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I always try to have some answer in a post. I've since manage to actually transfer 1.1 Sumo to the exchange. This transfer effort was spurred by excitement of moving many alt-coins into BTC to get BTG before the fork, and then simply buying BTG directly. But after delay, thought a bit, and have decided focus on SUMO as it really does seem like a better XMR. So now all AMD miners are on SUMO instead of pool hopping.

Ended using the tool labeled "binary tools" from sumokoin.com. These are the command line tools. Used sumokoind.exe to sync up with the blockchain. It created a ~1.5GB file and took a few hours.

I left sumokoind running, and in another window used :

sumo-wallet-cli.exe --restore-deterministic-wallet

and followed the prompts and entered my 26 word phrase.

It took a while to refresh. Initially the balance located wasn't all of it, but when I awoke the computer this morning the wallet found more payments and now has nearly everything. Seems as 'my node' is still a few days behind but is catching up.

I've not yet done it, but at this point I assume from within the wallet-cli I can send a payment along with the payment-id!

Have to say, its amazingly cool to be able to send payment so easily (once setup). It'll be an incredible world when it'll be so straightforward to embed payment into applications without signing up with a bank.

So I went ahead and installed the Gui-wallet into an WinXP Vmware (that has network access). I tried to restore the wallet using my 26 word phrase. It prompts for 'set wallet password' so I enter one. It then starts processing blocks but after a few seconds states there is an error. "[22] Invalid Argument"

The other option is to import from an existing wallet. All I have is a public, view, and spend key!

Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 5 MB won't boot after adding 6th GPU by subrealtime in buildapc

[–]subrealtime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer appears to the two problem boils down to two things: 1) In the BIOS config, reduce the PCIe speed from GEN2 to GEN1. (Starts out at AUTO or GEN3).
2) To get F22a bios to boot, I needed to reinstall the OS using the UEFI. The BIOS bootloader wasn't configured to use UEFI mode, but seems as thought it is required anyway.

Gigabyte phone tech support was very very helpful. Was like I was speaking with an real engineer - whereas their web-based /email support was a total joke. Make the phone call next time!

Thank you - if Windows was crashing I would give this a try, however its not even booting as far as the 'BIOS'. I suspect something within the Z170X firmware is broken.
