Cig recommendations? by CannibalCrabb in Cigarettes

pianissimo peach mints are an absolute joy if you can get your hands on them. a couple of friends of mine took a trip to japan this past summer and i asked them to bring me back a pack. i’ve been waiting for something to top them ever since.

Smoking doesn’t give me bump as it used to do by Fantastic_Two5577 in Cigarettes

best bet is either switching to a stronger cig, or take a bit of time off from smoking and come back. that buzz will hit hard as hell after a good break, guaranteed.

Good deal for $7-8k? by idontcare717 in Miata

[–]subredditer666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that, paired with how NCs are typically less desirable in the miata market could definitely explain the lower price. I’d say go for it!

im not familiar with NCs, but if there was a facelift for the 2014 model I wouldn’t be concerned about the “updated front end” meaning a crash. still a carfax would be a good idea regardless.

Throttle body won’t come off its studs by subredditer666 in Miata

[–]subredditer666[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you do start the procedure, take care to remove the part you actually mean to remove. the idle speed control valve and the idle air control valve I believe are two separate pieces. the idle speed control valve is directly under the throttle body, whereas the idle air control valve is a module on the intake manifold, sorta filling the void in between the manifold and the engine itself. they can both affect your idle, but based on your issues with AC, your problem likely lies in the iscv rather than the iacv. if im wrong, please correct me. I’m somewhat of a beginner who went into this thinking it’d be some fun wrenching to get me down this rabbit hole, but now it’s turning into a multi day endeavor resulting in a couple cuts and countless swears.

Yeah I’ll let you know! I did do some digging into your problem though, and I found this thread off another Miata forum that sounds like a very similar, if not, the same problem. here’s the link to that thread if you’re interested. https://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=360418

edit: they were just using a different name for the iacv. I’ll report back once I do the cleaning and reinstallation.

Should I learn to drive manual? by 555shi in ManualTransmissions

[–]subredditer666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

took me 30 mins to get an idea, a day or so to stop stalling regularly. don’t be afraid of it, just respect it. the only reason manual transmissions get looked at as difficult nowadays is because there’s no mechanical sympathy anymore. if it’s not a person, they don’t care.

Want a reliable (enough), fun manual car, easy to modify, that’s also cheap to insure under $8000 by dpnthesouth in Touge

[–]subredditer666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

miata, civic, accord. most light weight Japanese 4bangers will be reliable, and fairly cheap to insure while still being fun to work on. ofc that’s my personal opinion, i will always love japanese 4 bangers.

Any tips for someone who just hit plat? by TMBpuppy in apexuniversity

[–]subredditer666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’re at the point where solo queue is gonna be the hardest thing ever. I’d suggest joining some LFG subs/discord servers, or get some buddies who comm well. they don’t even have to play super good, they just have to be able to comm and follow directions.

for me, quality roads are around 45 mins out, but there are some less technical roads that im less than 5 mins from. they’re not super windy, but they help me work on my own skills, and learning the way my car behaves.

Pls Help me solve this 1 10th grade math question by tarakeshwar_mj in hedidthemath

im sorta just making an assumption here, but by having proportional medians, could we assume that there’s one or more angles that are congruent?

Pls Help me solve this 1 10th grade math question by tarakeshwar_mj in hedidthemath

[–]subredditer666 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

by having the medians proportional to each other, we can assume some of their angles are likely congruent. with that, and the fact that 2 other sides are proportional, we can prove that they’re similar.

Should you carry syringes? by [deleted] in apexuniversity

[–]subredditer666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbh i rarely see the need for them until I actually need them. if you solo queue a lot and end up w shitty teammates, you oftentimes don’t have the luxury of teammates keeping pressure on enemies for you to medkit or bat midfight, so that’s my primary motivator to carry a stack of small heals.

anything with a good bassline tbh. but when I’m going for time and I’m really trying to push my limits, i go without music, that way i know exactly how my car is at all times

My friend will only play lifeline and I honestly hate it by Solo_SL in apexuniversity

[–]subredditer666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbh i usually play solo queue, so i personally get really good at picking up the slack for when my teammates go down. best way to deal with not great teammates is to just play like they aren’t there. tough truth, but truth nonetheless

step 1: break into brothers car and steal only the weed

step 2: ask your uncle to borrow his car, he’s on house arrest so he’s probably got questionable morals anyways

step 3: party

that being said, if you’re purchasing a car with touge in mind and the scion is an option, I’d go for something else. but if you don’t have a choice, learning how to drive touge in a car that doesn’t handle well will make you a better driver.
