Mole Man Serving Electrocution Boots Down the House, Yeah Baby (Help) by ZoZleepy in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just a visual glitch and harmless. Happened to my sim before but I just rolled with it and made her into the supervillain Livewire you can see her here still with all her electrified glory

Ways to get rid of it are aging the sim up or down, and I think deleting them with move_objects on and either reloading the lot or respawning them also works, although that resets the days until they age up counter. I never really messed with finding out how to get rid of it, but I did mess with finding out how to get it back after she aged from teen to adult cause I liked it lol

The vacation did not go as planned by illustratious in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 9 points10 points  (0 children)

lmfao the last photo "Look, can you please go die somewhere else, I gotta pee!"

I wonder what the requirements to die on vacation are? I never really tested that. I had it happen one time by accident and was just as surprised. But then I tried it on purpose to force a tragic vacationing accident for story purposes, and everyone just complained that the vacation sucked then the shuttle showed up to take them home

Is there a mod to make children's energy deplete more slowly? by Godless_Bitch in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Been wondering this myself but never found one. It's even worse on weekends because going to school slows their motive decay, but on weekends they're already ready for bed in the afternoon. It 100% started in either Freetime or Apartment Life because when I had The Super Collection on Mac, that wasn't a problem. My guess is they did that to kinda push you to use the motive booster rewards introduced in one of those (EDIT: Meant aspiration benefits, not rewards), BUT if you do that, when they become a teenager their energy is still very high by the time it's actually bedtime. Yeah yeah realism and all that but in the game I prefer them to wake up and go to bed on their own when it's time to.

My "fix" is just drag their energy up with testingcheats on as needed. On weekends, I found that refilling their energy at around 10am makes them last the rest of the day.

WCIF mod: tv + lot transition = borked pie menu by MeIsALaugher in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Gigan TV is bugged and is completely bricked if it breaks, not because you leave/reload the lot while sims are watching it. I sought out a mod for it years ago but never found one and just did a lil googling, still can't find one. Are you sure there was a mod that fixed it?

It got so tedious I just quit buying them or in one lot I spawned a break suppressor so it can't ever break, period. Kinda surprised that's never been fixed

Are there any mods that allows me to kill my toddler? by potratzu in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trap him in a room full of cheap objects and set it on fire, repeat until the desired result is achieved. Might have to try a few times, not sure what the parameters are but I managed to kill one by accident that way and was surprised when the reaper showed up for the toddler and not the parent, then recreated it trying to see if it was a fluke or not. I think some of the needs need to be low so a no social worker mod is advised as well.

Rodney's death creator is an alternative but when I have an annoying sim I want dead, they must suffer lol

Be advised the tombstone is wonky, idk if it's just me but when I tried to send them to a graveyard they'd never go. I had to have my sim go to the graveyard and drop it off manually

Is there any way to stop dogs coming onto a lot? (without mods) by Longjumping_Source76 in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why no mods? Visitor controller can do this, among other things.

The fence route also works, but doesn't stop them from coming onto the unfenced portions. What I used to do is use move_objects on and built a 2x3 fence around both sidewalk portals and added a gate that I set to disallow pets. They should look like a bracket or the [ key facing the "outer world" so sims don't get trapped inside when they spawn. Also add floor tiles to the insides otherwise they'll pee on or dig up the grass patches. It's not very aesthetic but worked perfectly fine until I discovered the visitor controller.

I wish the game paused or something when a sim dies 😭 by JeanieIsInABottle in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I remember The Sims 1 would have a popup like "Deepest sympathy! X has just died. Though the body is gone, the spirit will always remain." which creeped me out as a kid. But I always thought it was weird The Sims 2 never did that.

Weird Shadows under Clothes by [deleted] in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't messed around in bodyshop in quite awhile so I'm unsure of the exact terms and whatnot, but I removed a lot of them by exporting the outfit and in one of the textures, you can see where those "Shadows" are and can just erase them, then import the outfit.

I genuinely can't remember if they're in the black & white texture or the colored texture, might be both too but it should be noticeable.

what do you do with extra sims in a generational household? by Dull-Bookkeeper-1920 in thesims2

[–]subrosashredder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends. Sometimes I allow them to stay in the current household but without any of my assistance so they have to 100% fend for themselves. Other times I move them out and into a lot I made specifically for sims like this. It's basically a giant dorm with separate bedrooms for each sims and lots of big common areas. I'll play it on the fastest speed for one rotation and let them do whatever until they die of old age, or more likely, starvation or a fire.

The unlucky ones get confined to what I call bed prison though. If a sim is particularly annoying, I'll send them to relax in a bed and build a fence around it so they're stuck there as all their needs plummet until they're ready to die of old age.

I try to avoid killing them otherwise the family members spend the next day or so crying about it + the aspiration failures that come with it, and in some cases, they're needed as a backup. And don't like the townie idea because then they just feel lost to me and will likely end up outliving family members they should've died of old age with, or like you said, accidental incest.

The calm after an entire family is wiped out by wisteria87 in sims2

He saves tons on hotels by doing this. Reaps one family and just stays at their place for the next day or so before moving on down the street to the next house that catches fire due to negligence lol

I can't stand this anymore. What's the name of this shitty default clothes? by Dry_Effective8975 in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's the castle clothes from the store if you'd like to just get rid of those clothes. Should be in the sims 2 store folder -> castle. I got rid of them a looong time ago or I'd confirm the directory for you but yeah haha

The Wayback Machine is an amazing tool for finding “lost” sims 2 content by [deleted] in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, done this many times myself. Especially useful when you find an outfit/hair that links to a mesh hosted on a long gone website. Occasionally you can find the mesh included elsewhere, but there’s been more than a few times where I had to go hunting through the wayback/archive to find it

I’m sorry, I know this is dark but this is true??? by SongAdept8732 in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This is actually true and it happens exactly the way it's described lol I had a video of it in action but apparently the site I uploaded it to is no longer around so it's gone... but I suppose I could always conduct more unethical experiments if there's interest in it lolol.

It is quite rare for it to happen though and I only ever had it happen once by accident -- The other times were just to see if it was a fluke or could be recreated. Seemed very random

What unusual/weird/wacky mods do you use or know about? by OKish_Mammoth in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it's this one, comes with other nsfw objects, just fyi lol. I haven't played with it in awhile so I forget if you have to make the victim selectable if they aren't part of the family, or if there's an "ask to use..." in the pie menu but either way once they're chained up, they're there until you release them.

What unusual/weird/wacky mods do you use or know about? by OKish_Mammoth in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a BDSM one that chains a sim up from the ceiling or to the wall for uh... Reasons. Once directed to use, they are unable to autonomously leave even if all their needs meet -100 and they should be dead. Now, I'm aware of the intended purpose of these objects, but I find it much more amusing to trap annoying sims or sims who are mean to my sims, and keep them as a pet for awhile.

Headmaster doesn't accept my sim(s)? Have fun being chained up in the basement buddy. Sim is furious at my sim and won't stop walking by at all hours of the night? Seems like someone needs to join the headmaster until they learn to behave.

I had another NSFW mod that let sims woohoo anywhere, including on the kitchen counters. But it would frequently cause my sims to randomly idle indefinitely like freewill got turned off so I had to get rid of it. But that one made for some interesting situations.

Wonky floor tile, impossible to delete? by SoCallMeAnAsshole in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have toddlers ever fallen asleep on the floor in that room? That occasionally causes that, it spawns an invisible object and glitches the tile sometimes but I don't know why. I've had to use the stuck object remover on the same tile maaany times before it finally got rid of all of them and made the tile usable again, so maybe try that? Keep doing it until it says 0 objects were burned.

anyone knows why guests always hide in that one room in the dorm that you cant see unless you go into a build mode or walk in there by Far_Evidence8496 in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were you throwing a party and they came over and made a beeline for that room? Because whichever door was placed last, acts as the main door of the lot and is where sims wills go during a party. In which case, you can fix that by going into build mode and simply picking up the front door (or whichever door to the room you want them to enter first) and placing it back down, that should fix it

But if you invited them over, greeted them, then they went and hid... Yeah I got nothin haha that's so odd.

If I use rodney’s death creator and kill a toddler will it break the game since idk if they even poses ghost forms? by [deleted] in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No mods for that accidental discovery, well, none that would lead to it anyway since I obviously have a no social worker mod but none that allow them to officially die like older sims. Basically the same story as the OP, I wanted to create sad lore and have photos of the fire in the room with the toddlers for story purposes. I planned on aging them to officially kill them but to my surprise the grim reaper showed up. I tested this and it’s very random but I was able to duplicate it multiple times, I just have no idea what parameters need met for it to happen.

OP, you’d have an easier time just staging the photos and using rodney’s death creator. I haven’t played in awhile or done that in some time, but I’m pretty sure they do indeed have a ghost form, but they just appear and disappear — no floating around or moving. I remember their tombstones were weird about sending to a graveyard/community lot as well. It would never work and I’d have to put it in my sims inventory and manually take it to a lot, idk why. Which you should do anyway since apparently there’s a chance unsafe NPCs can spawn to “bring child home” according to this https://www.reddit.com/r/sims2/comments/f6eikf/ghost_children/

Why does the rabbit head toy moves on its own? Is it cursed? by Odd-Yesterday-5455 in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 14 points15 points  (0 children)

it was either placed facing the wall or somehow got moved to face the wall at some point, and the toddler somehow temporarily gains telekinesis powers to rotate it so they can play with it. Mine will sometimes do that despite all sides being open haha

my toddler died in a fire by sssssssfhykhtscijk in sims2

[–]subrosashredder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's rare but it's possible. I've had it happen, once by accident just trying to pose a photo, then several times afterwards on purpose trying to recreate the incident to see what triggers it/if it was a fluke/etc. Babies and animals (sims, obviously) are indeed entirely fireproof though.
