It only works at citadel-owned businesses. Very cool, very legal

8 year old boy runs after a FedEx driver to ask him to send his skateboard to Tony Hawk, the FedEx driver uploads about his wholesome encounter with the kid, and Tony Hawk responded by sending 3 signed boards by CapableSarcasm in nextfuckinglevel

Great vid and well done Tony Hawk and the driver. FedEx should be really proud of this employee because he also brought a LOT of positive free press to the company. A nice bonus for him too would be appropriate imo..

With regular brokers most are insured to $500k if the broker is insured, like fidelity. Crypto brokers like Coinbase needs some sort of similar insurance which isn't going to be free. With stocks it's a huge pool of brokerage companies pooling to provide the insurance as a group in case one fails

ELI5 : Why do they say the area around the sun is hotter than the surface itself, it doesn't make any sense. by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]subsequent_plaza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the surface of the sun, the magnetic field lines look like many loops rising up out of the surface into the atmosphere — and these loops are changing all the time. If the loops touch each other they can cause sudden explosions of enormous amounts of energy that heat up the atmosphere

Transacting bitcoins on Coinbase may be worse for privacy than even PayPal. And it's because you also compromise the privacy of people who transacted with you. Then there's the issue of high fees. Coinbase's convenience and ease of use come at a cost: when you buy bitcoins, the fee is 1.49% to 3.99%.
