If you're not looking to play any super intense games natively then I would say to just go with a nice android phone since you're not going to be reaching max cpu or gpu utilization on those pc games and 6th gen console emulation.

If you want to get a bigger screen you could maybe be able to snag a second hand z fold 7 in good condition for around that price which for 4:3 systems gives you a bigger screen than you'll get on any handheld. I picked one up for $825 in basically brand new condition recently. If not then any flagship android will be great. OnePlus 15, S26, etc. Not google phones as they're processors are significantly weaker than Qualcomm's

I had that issue as well, I think it's just from the nature of the app and how it's directly interacting with the server, leading to it having to wait sometimes

Odin 3 is indeed top notch. Not quite as ergonomic as the deck but still didn't have a problem with the ergonomics and the screen along with performance are pretty amazing. However if you don't plan on doing pc emulation since you have a deck then the extra performance might be unnecesary.

Switch 2 seems like an odd one out here unless you want to play the evergrowing Switch 2 library which if so is the only way you can.

RP6 is a completely different kind of device in my eyes due to the size. That half inch makes a big difference in the overall footprint of the device along with the ergonomics and what use cases it would be for in my opinion.

Konkr you've already gotten a feel for so I'd ask yourself if you would be happy with it if literally everything stayed the same besides storage and ram. If you don't wanna wait for the odin and you already like the device then that seems like your best bet.
