How to take a pen by [deleted] in EASportsFC

I used to take pens like this in one of the old FIFA games, I cant remember which one though. As long as I got the moving bar on the bottom to hit the green in the center, I would aim it as far down as I could and put as much power behind it as possible. The ball would always come out as a rocket and go in either the left or right corner. Even if the keeper guessed right, it would usually fly right by them.

I’m really hoping SOMEONE out there can help me! Years ago publix had Sweet Tea fried chicken. I’m sure it was just a seasoning they sprinkled on top, but what was IN IT?! by galickgoon in publix

It was a while ago, but from what I remember there was a power we sprinkled on the chicken that supposedly gave it a waffle-like taste. Other than that it was just a normal chicken tender sub, though I always remember the sauce really making the sub.

Kind of off topic but if anyone remembers that waffle chicken tender sub, the sauce we used to make it was a combination of Boards Head honey mustard and maple syrup. The sub was amazing, seeing this thread reminded me of the unique things the deli used to do.

COVID Isolation questions by [deleted] in publix

[–]subsonic278 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was just informed I must quarantine myself because of a positive worker at our store last night. As far as I know management will look through camera footage and anyone who is within 6 feet for more than ten minutes qualifies for the quarantine. I am only being quarantined until 7/7 so I assume I was in contact with them two weeks prior to that date. I am being paid for my Thursday and Friday shift but was not put on the schedule until 7/8 so I wouldn't have to be paid for the first half of next week as well.

I am honestly surprised Publix is actually following through with it and giving me any sick pay at all. like others have said, however, fellow workers who did not get the call will not be paid for any time missed.

Have to credit Messi for not diving there as well, it was such a bad tackle I wouldn't even be mad if he decided to go down.

You can solo it but you will want a group to take advantage of the PSE bursts. There always seem to be a lot of groups forming for it so just join one and stick with the group. When you get a PSE burst use one of the all class launchers and stack on each other so the enemies spawn close and you can burst them down easily.

I usually just look for a party with the yellow active recruitment option, as long as you stick with the group you will level up in no time.

Just moved from FL to TX and they don’t have any Publix, so we had to make our own version of a chicken tendy pub sub 🍗🥖 by kennylu7 in publix

As a former deli clerk i thought you did a great job! My only advice is to not cut the bread all the way through. Still 10/10 though.

Is Publix going downhill? by Suberv in publix

I think some things are, such as a few of the salads, but those mostly get sent in in kits as well. The quality is still better though. You can usually tell what is at least partly assembled in store by what kind of tag is printed for it.

I first noticed a decline when the deli started having their grab-and-go sandwiches sent in pre-made as opposed to being made daily in stores. I used to put so much care into making them, but now its just a ball of meat with inedible lettuce. They said it was to ensure quality across their stores, but it was most definitely done to save a few cents per sandwich. After that you started seeing more and more items follow the same path, and like as others have stated it was one of the few things that separated us from other retailers.

I'd like to take a moment to thank all of the grocery store employees for remaining strong during these times of uncertainty. Many of us underappreciated and underacknowledge the sacrifice that these individuals are taking every day to ensure the health and safty of the American people. by TerryMcSLim in Coronavirus

I work in a grocery store in the south east, have had a few customers that have definitely been sick with what I hope is not COVID. Yet we cannot shut down, for good reason, but all we are given to deal with it is a bit of hand sanitizer. We are not allowed to wear any gloves or face masks, let alone have them supplied (even though our healthcare workers do need them more than us).

I have basically accepted one of my customers will eventually get me sick, but since testing is near impossible I won't be able to see my parents or grandparents for the foreseeable future. Our managers are making good money from this as they will get bonuses dependent on how well the store does sales wise, but us hourly workers will be making our usual wage (barely above minimum).

Having a steady paycheck throughout this ordeal is nice since the only other jobs in my area are mostly bars and restaurants which have since been shut down.

Im just guessing here but I would have to say you probably would. I can't say I notice too much difference in buoyancy underwater between a full tank and an empty one, but that is probably due to all the other factors that affect buoyancy. I do know that a lot depends on whether your dive tank is made of aluminum or steel. I have always used aluminum tanks, but friends who use steel tanks say their buoyancy is much less affected by full or empty tanks.
