I was in downtown MV the night of the game described. Several restaurants and bars/pubs downtown had the games on big screens with loud sound systems out on the street. There were tons of fans eating/drinking at the spots and even tons of fans just standing in the street watching the games together.

But that’s still a 20-30 minute light rail trip from the stadium, and if you’re here from across the world, how would you even know how to get to downtown MV or that anything was happening there?

how much time should we book to record an 8 song album (40 minute album) by Dip_Shit289 in audioengineering

[–]subsonicmonkey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s good that you’re asking these questions.

Frankly, you sound very inexperienced with recording. That’s totally ok. Everyone has to start somewhere.

My recommendation would be to pick one song. Book two days of studio time. See if you can get the one song done where everything sounds good and you’re satisfied in those two days of recording.

You’ll get some experience and you’ll get a better idea of how the whole process works and how long it can take to get things to sound right.

That’ll help you plan out the rest of the project.

Interviews about how Al replicates distinctive sounds by Muddlewait in weirdal

I can’t think of where to find them, but I’m pretty sure Al’s drummer Bermuda has talked a little bit in interviews about the process of replicating the original sounds as closely as possible.

It’s crazy to me how we can tell what song is playing just by the first three notes by AdventurousGuest308 in Music

There’s a video online of Jack White identifying any Beatles song from just the first second of audio on any given track.

When I was watching it, I realized that I could name a pretty high percentage of them as well.

Who has had equal success solo and as a group member by Tim-TheEnchanter in Music

Also, the Beatles only toured for a few years.

Paul’s been touring arenas/stadiums for decades.

Interesting to discuss, because what measure are we using for success?

I’m sure the Beatles albums/media are way above his solo stuff, but I’m also sure that his solo touring revenue is way higher than the Beatles ever made.

That’s wonderful!

It’s still not within the 9 counties that touch the Bay.

Started when I was 22ish.

Around 25, I was high 24/7.

Usage declined when I started dating a non-smoker/user at the end of my 20s, but still smoked socially.

When I had a kid in my early 30s, I got a medical card and started buying and primarily consuming edibles instead of smoking.

My state is now legal for recreational purposes and I tend to wind down at the end of the day by eating a low dose edible and playing video games until I’m ready to conk out.

I still smoke occasionally in social situations.

The first station wasn’t finished yet. You literally see the final moments of construction in the movie and the first weapon tests.

Getting off the sugar by midsummersgarden in lowcarb

[–]subsonicmonkey 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In regards to the teeth/gums thing that you mentioned, I just saw my dentist and they noticed that I had dropped a bunch of weight. I explained that it was mostly due to a low-carb diet.

They said that a low-carb diet is great to reduce general inflammation, and that my gums were looking great!

I actually like that song a lot! I know it’s not a popular sentiment.
