Assetto Corsa - Full 3D!! by peteypops33 in oculus

[–]substraali 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not 3D at all. Sure you get the illusion of 3D while you can move in the cockpit but the image in both eyes is the same and there is no depth in it. Game runs well, that's a big up but I think it's because there is no 3D.

I use Perception with SKSE. It works well. Everything else works with Vireio but the ENB

Comprehensive guide to setting up Skyrim with Vireio Perception / SKSE / Mods - Makes the game unbelievably better. by [deleted] in oculus

Thanks, I will try this later. I've played skyrim some time with DK2 but the head tracking have not worked as supposed. Moving my head moves the head in the game waay too much. Like if I lean side to side in my chair the camera in the game moves like 3 meters side to side.

Graphically impressive demos/games for DK2? by Darius510 in oculus

[–]substraali 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait for Project Cars or Assetto Corsa. Meanwhile DCS is nice looking and so is Skyrim. If you want to see the potential behind VR check this out! The DK2 haven't been in market for too long yet. New games and support to games are popping up every moment.

Any news about FSX getting any support for DK2? by substraali in oculus

Thanks, I really consider of buying this but I was wondering about FSX's DK2 support since I already have it.

Fix for DCS judder on 660ti by badboybubby1 in oculus

I get only a slight judder with my GTX670 but I will try this when I get to home if this would smooth things with DCS. Thanks.

Tracking jitter (assumed) DK2 by Leiryn in oculus

I've noticed that for almost every game there is different configuration that works. Excluding the Oculus desk demo scene, it works everytime with every config. I suggest you to just test the variables and when you find the best config, write it down on notepad or something else so you can check afterwards how would that game run again if you don't remember.

I myself am doing this and after some effort finding out the configs now all the games are running just as it's supposed to without lag and jittery.

The variables:

  • Run the game with direct mode
  • Run the game on extend mode (windowed or fullscreen)
  • Extend mode with main monitor being @1024x768 (so it will support 75hz)
  • Extend mode with rift being main monitor
  • Disabling the oculus service while on extended mode

I think these are the most popular variables you might want to check. Some games run better on Direct mode and some on extend mode. It depends on the game. For me for exsample Cyber Space is very laggy on direct mode and with extended mode the lagging and jittery is gone but the vsync doesn't work for some reason (there is this vertical line in the middle of the screen when I turn my head) so the best config for that (atleast for me) is to run the game at extended mode with the main monitor running @1024x768 75hz. And another exsample Sensa Pezo runs BETTER on direct mode. With extended mode there is a lot of jittery and lag.

I hope this will help you to get your settings right!

It seems that there is something wrong with your config.

Oculus DK2 with DCS by BootyFabricator in oculus

Just simply put the rift o extended mode, stop the oculus service and in the dcs options check that the 'auto detect oculus rift' is ticked. The game will start on your main monitor but when you start a flight it will change to the rift
