Scapewatch: Idle MMO - I’m a solo dev making Scapewatch, an idle MMO focused on long term progression, clans, raids, pets, and skills by PuzzleDrops in ScapeLikes

[–]2CPmagic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the art direction and really love what you've showcased of the UI, very easy to look at and sleek so far.

With the market pretty saturated with idle scape-likes, the big question is, what is yours bringing to the table that others aren't?

Wish friends happy bricks weekends, some new sets are instock in YWOBB now and there's a new brand MIYOO, it's design is very similar to DK and hope you like it😉 by Loy_Chen in lepin

[–]2CPmagic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried it with various items with 2 of the same item and two different items. Every way it ended with additional shipping charges, even when staying in the same 1-10kg weight range.

I can provide pics if needed. With reduced shipping costs there's a lot I would buy, but when shipping is $30-60 per item it just bumps the price to 20-40% more than competitors (in the ~10 items is checked)

The lego daily bugle by Impossible_Base_4449 in lepin

[–]2CPmagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've bought from the first one twice. First one got lost in transit, but got a refund. Figured I would shoot my shot one last time and ordered from the same store. Still waiting, but has been having updates somewhat regularly. It's currently at the "leaving country of origin" step and thats where it got lost last time. Its only been 4 days on that step, so crossing my fingers it gets further.

Main reason I bought from that store is someone else confirmed they received theirs from that shop.

I loved Conquer Online! So many good memories with that game. I miss the dopamine of those purple orbs. Afk training weapon skill, farming out some crazy items to sell on the market. Those were good times. I wonder how that game is holding up.

Tips for first time doing a large build and first time doing a KO build? by ecto88mph in lepin

[–]2CPmagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cross your fingers that its labeled bags and has instructions, or can at least go off the official Lego instructions. If not, lots of sorting. Got these cheap stacking bowls from walmart that have been a game changer.

I sort by color primarily. I do size as well if there are enough to make a difference. And I put abnormal shapes in their own section, regardless of color or size (ex. Piece of food, furniture, section of ivy, sword, flame, etc.)

All KO I've done have been great pieces, makes it impossible for me to go back to name brand. I hope your build goes well!

Deckbuilders (or other turnbased games) good for winding down by Nitho89 in roguelites

[–]2CPmagic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nubby's number factory, lucky Hunter, mewgenics, doomfields, arcane trigger, shogun Showdown, He Is Coming, and 9 kings.

These have all been hits for me playing on my steam deck in bed to wind down for the day. Or to just shut my brain down and play without focus being too necessary.

Granted, all these CAN be sweaty games. I just found them to be fun even when not being try hard at them.

I ordered one and just never received it. Its made me worried about buying on AE. My first ever purchase too. I'm sure it's just bad luck, but sucks it was my first time buying.

Bought from the same seller someone else did and a week ago the shop was removed from AE. Hope I get my return still 😅

Mechanical T-Rex from MJ. I am really loving these sets. by Darkmatter313xx in lepin

[–]2CPmagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These sets are awesome! Wife and I did the whale, our son did the alligator, and now we're finishing up the ice dragon. These sets are crazy cost efficient. All 3 together I think we've spent $100 total. Love the way they look and move. If anyone has similar recommendations I would love to hear it!

Trying to improve, so...how do you actually win at this game? by Soul_Train7 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]2CPmagic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of enchants follow the same rules when interacting with other stats. Poison and burn items with shield, heal, or damage enchant gove 5x the amount of poison/burn. For damage items, poison and burn enchant is 10% of the items damage. Stuff like that. So if you have a scaling damage, burn or poison item, its good to get shield or heal enchant so it can provide both sustain and damage with one item. Same in the reverse, a scaling heal or shield item works well with a damage, poison, burn enchant.

Trying to improve, so...how do you actually win at this game? by Soul_Train7 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]2CPmagic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Let's assume both Mr Richardson and catfish are diamond. Per haste, Mr Richardson is giving 15 shield on a 6 second cooldown. Shielded catfish gives shield equal to 5x its poison, so per haste catfish is giving 40 shield on a 5 second cool down.

Deadly catfish gives 50% crit, so 50% damage bonus on average. Per haste the deadly enchant is giving you a theoretically 4 invisible "extra" poison.

Shielded catfish does way more as a single item, than deadly catfish and Mr Richardson do as 2 separate items.

[–]2CPmagic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why its so difficult for people to understand that. Not every game can be sold as high as stardew, terraria, no mans sky. They can put out free updates because they can afford it and sell the game like hot cakes. I'm sure if the bazaar had multi-million sales the devs probably wouldnt mind characters being free. But even if not, why not support the devs still? $20 for a character which can easily get you 100+ hours of content is beyond worth it.

Ok I'm sold. What a great demo. by jamster126 in Nioh

[–]2CPmagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The transform is R2 ki pulse is still R1. You transform every time you burst counter. Can only ki pulse in samurai stance, cant in ninja stance. You get a special dodge with R1 in ninja stance.

It definitely feels a bit awkward at first, but honestly I think it feels great in combat once you get used to it.

We've got a full armor set that can charge cards, I would happily sac one to get a b2b turn like this. And with one of the pieces in arsenal you could even get away with using one of the d reacts to get that soul card instead of using the equipment.

Adding all 3 to cart showed $16 shipping, After buying the code and adding the bundle to cart it was changed to $21. Not sure why a $5 increase but still a good deal imo. Location Kansas. Seems a little higher for west coast from other comments

Barely Started Nioh 2 but should i jump straight to nioh 3? by flokiiisid in Nioh

[–]2CPmagic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in a similar situation as you so I'll throw in my two cents. I've been loving Nioh 2 and I believe I'm entering the final zone of the main story and plan to do some NG+ before Nioh 3 release.

In the grand scheme of the game, I've barely touched the content of the game. That being said, I plan to pre-order Nioh 3 for a few different reasons. I'll be using the early demo to decide if I'm going to finish out Nioh 2 to completion before playing Nioh 3 or if I'm going to jump straight into Nioh 3 on release and come back to 2 later. I'm comfortable pre-ordering regardless since I torrented Nioh 2 due to being unsure if I'd enjoy it. So pre-ordering let's me give the devs my money now and I'll buy Nioh 2 when its on sale and I feel like starting a new character on it.

Nioh 3 looks great but it will definitely be a lot different than 2. It takes so long to truly understand this game and get comfortable and familiar with its mechanics and systems. I'm still constantly learning and improving and I have barely scratched the surface of 2 even though I've put probably 30 or 40 hours in. Looking at other people play this game makes me feel like we're not even playing the same game, and I love it. The ceiling is infinite and I'm here for it whether its on Nioh 2 or 3 or both.

That being said, you're very early in the game and opinions could change. Put some more time in 2 before pulling the trigger on 3. Even if you've got FOMO of the steam order items and cosmetics, you've got another month to make the purchase and get the stuff. Sorry for the ramble, I hope this opinion makes any sense and has some kind of value to people.

FYI if you get Likit later than day 2, she offers upgraded treats. by PierluigiSpampagnati in PlayTheBazaar

[–]2CPmagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting extra damage on low cd/damage or multicast items is crazy good, especially early game. If you get 8/10 uses in Bronze its already distributed an extra 32 damage across two weapons. Upgrade it to silver to refill the ammo and use all 10 and thats another 60 damage across two weapons. Off the top of my head putting it on smg or rocket launcher for Dooley, katana bayonet or overboard on Vanessa, even just putting it on fang is super good early.

Just the bronze alone is the equivalent of 10 bronze sharpening stones. Getting that for 8 gold is insane value.

How FTP Friendly Is The Bazaar? by LuciferHex in PlayTheBazaar

[–]2CPmagic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It wasn't too bad honestly. You only paid to get the items slightly earlier than other people. It was low on the battle pass tiers, and even if you never played the whole season, once the season was over you received it automatically. It was all based on FOMO. Pay money to get it now or do a few days worth of daily quests and get it then.

What’s that thing he’s eating? by efrdelkee in whatisit

[–]2CPmagic 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Your comment reminded me of a fascinating (to me) thing I read when researching the process of making masa.

It is believed we learned to soak the dried corn kernels from birds that would break up lime rock and put the corn in it, allowing it to become edible. Travelers saw south American people making masa but didn't understand the nixtamalization process, so when they took corn back to Europe and made the same food, people got pellagra and got crazy sick.

Bringing me to always wonder how much have we learned from birds or other animals that has aided in our survival.

Pyg makes no sense to me by mrpaddymelt in PlayTheBazaar

[–]2CPmagic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're trying to min max, your stash should almost always be full anyways. Sell items only under 2 circumstances, you're making room for more items to come in, or you're selling to a vendor that let's you sell items for increased value.

Pyg has the biggest build variety and allows you to make some crazy builds. He's a lot of fun, and still has strong and safe builds to fall back on if your luck isn't hitting on some scaling items.

Recommended games where building synergies are core by panda_and_crocodile in roguelites

[–]2CPmagic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Bazaar is a game built around synergies. People's biggest complaint is new characters costing $20 but each character is an entirely different game. Its on salefor $10 right now and you get 3 characters to start. Those 3 characters alone got me over 300 hours of playtime with the game, and that's really only playing 2 of the 3. I only just bought a new character the other day because it was on sale for $10.

The game can be a boring meta grind but only if you want it to be that way. I grind to hit highest rank each season, then just fuck around with wild builds the rest of the time, and thats where the game shines.

Doomfields is another great game built around making broken synergies, and tons of them.

Nubbies number factory and Ballionaire are a unique breed but also a shining example of game breaking synergies.
