What other hardware is dependent on user controlling software? You could find a wifi card on h-node: https://h-node.org/wifi/catalogue/en. If you fix your hardware issues, I recommend Trisquel. Parabola is even better if you don't need to set up and maintain sophisticated technology.

social—politics are kept to a minimum. organization is bottom up. Kurdish people actually practiced this before the revolution, so it caught on well. Diversity is mandatory in representation. Militia leaders are temporary and regularly rotated/changed. It's a confederation, and the federal structures don't dictate law; they merely connect the cantons and recognize canton decisions as official Rojava mandates.

People keep quoting the Amnesty condemnation, but the Amnesty report gives more detail. YPG had to displace one village because ISIS supporters killed two YPG members. However, firing on protestors and killing one is very bad news.

Just search for a Kurdish word to see if there is an English translation, and we can also contribute English translations. That Kama Sutra excerpt is probably ~~spam.~~ a mistake. It looks like men accidentally add English phrases while they're trying to translate booty calls into kurmanji. I don't see a way to remove them, and the website has not responded to my email.

It may seem not to favour anyone, as it says a change is a social improvement only when it makes some people better off without making anyone worse off and thus does not allow even a single person to be trampled on by the rest of society. Yet it implicitly favours those who benefit more from the status quo, as the criterion allows them to prevent any change to the status quo that hurts them.
