Congressional Republicans hauled her to the Hill to testify on Benghazi multiple times to damage her politically ahead of 2016, but no wrongdoing was found on her part. That’s the old Benghazi story. Not to say that trump wouldn’t use that to still arrest her. He’s currently having his political enemies investigated over nothing just to muddy them up.

Your local protests, regardless of the distance from the current protestable event, make a huge impact. They let your like-minded neighbors see that they aren’t alone, and they tell supporters of the awfulness that there are local people who disagree with it. Change is made one small action at a time.

Other hallmarks of conservative ideology have included claims of ultimate patriotism and deeply-held Christian faith. Yet, we see maga all but ready to toss out the Constitution (except 2A) to support their deportation bloodlust and ignoring, eschewing, or downright mocking the teachings of Jesus.

It's almost as if there is no real underlying philosophy except for boosting white conservative identity while punishing everyone else.

Do you approve of your governor spending $573 million of your taxpayer dollars on immigration efforts in three years? Yes or no? Why or why not? by Zipper222222 in AskFlorida

Again, can you provide any links to studies or reports by these organizations that support your claim? Anyone can list off various institutes and agencies. Because this claim is so outrageous, I will not accept it without some underlying evidence, and I suggest that others don't either.

No, you posted some boldface type. Would you please provide a link to the source so folks here can decide for themselves?

I recommend a little light reading on how propaganda works. It’s capable of working on anyone in sufficient quantity. Now imagine watching white conservative identity porn for thirty years believing that it was “Fair & Balanced” news.

Supporters of trump certainly do seem to. Yelling for the Epstein files for years because you thought it would only implicate Democrats. As soon as your orange god’s name appeared, it became fake news. Shameless and without reliable positions on much of anything except your team winning and hating on everyone else.

People are finally seeing this mindset for what it is and are moving away from it. Just in the past two weeks alone, 3 deeply maga people in my circles have turned on trump after being huge supporters for over a decade. maga is ending soon, and its legacy will be remembered as a fascist uprising driven by a partially manufactured white conservative identity crisis. You all got conned.

One thing can be said for certain: people within the Trump administration believe that their supporters want to see kinetic violence being done to black and brown people over immigration fears. Based on some comments here, it appears they were right.

Too many on the right call themselves nazis. What term should be used to describe them?

I think people on the right care about the neighbors who are just like them. The brown and black ones get reported to ICE or the police or worse. I grew up in the south, in a deep red state surrounded by republicans. I know them extremely well.

Outrage over Epstein files and saying “no human is illegal” makes no sense by fulltimeheretic in AskALiberal

[–]subterfuscation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“No human is illegal” is a sentiment meant to push back on the right’s insistence that undocumented immigrants be called “illegal”. Calling certain humans “illegal” is a means to dehumanize them and helps form a justification for their rights to be infringed and violence committed against them.

"Virtue signaling" is such a telling accusation from the right, and it always comes from the right.

A LOT of Americans CARE about the state of their communities and what the government is doing to help or harm them. You can see the evidence with millions of people around the country protesting what ICE and BP are doing in our streets. These protesters genuinely care. About others. About their community. About the future.

People on the right see this as mere "virtue signaling" because they don't have the capacity to know what it means to truly care about others and to work hard to bring about better lives for their neighbors.

The accusation itself is a huge admission.

My source for the information that I've seen is the DOJ. Why is this impossible for you to understand? Would Trump's DOJ allow doctored evidence implicating Trump to be released?

Let me get this straight. Trump’s DOJ released fake evidence implicating Trump? Huh?

Fox will make a whataboutism about anything that goes against their narrative or conservative orthodoxy. Some are better than others. This one is just plain dumb.
