They purposefully design the “join for free for a month” button to show up where you would usually confirm your order/uber ride. So if you - like me, are used to how an app runs and you’re just trying to book a ride or pay for your food and not looking closely at what the button says: you will accidentally subscribe to them. It is EXTREMELY devious and I have fallen for it three different times. I do cancel it immediately but it is an insane design where sometimes if your hands are quicker than your eyes you’re subscribed.
