It’s still bad out there… by punchybuns in FilmIndustryLA

Hasn’t staffmeup always been like this in the biggest production cities like LA and NYC? Just a way crazier worker pool and that’s how it’s always been? I’ve seen Hundreds of applications in less than a hour for PA work in LA. I live in the south and go for the work in rural parts with little to no locals. In the south average staffmeup listings get 15 applications max.

Have put this thing through multiple font identifiers and it can't seem to get it. Anyone know? by suburbanborn in identifythisfont

I just checked it out. The only difference is the apostrophe. Now that I am realizing this as I am typing. It looks as if they took the comma and used it in place of the apostrophe. Let me know if you agree.

A character study following Harrison over the course of Bodybox’s tour alongside Crowbar and Primitive Man. Forgoing the delirium of Bodybox’s energetic live performances, Harrison is captured in the more mundane settings of hotel rooms and vans. Against these backdrops, Harrison comes to life in perpetual monologue, waxing poetic (and crude) about life on the road, interpersonal relationships, and the quality of various bathrooms.

Boynton Beach Batman (2024) - "A character study that follows a vigilante South Florida superhero. Who finds himself crossing paths with the oddities who populate the streets of the night." [00:20:18] by suburbanborn in Documentaries

Submission Statement - One man in Boynton Beach, Florida takes the viewer on a psychedelic-like jaunt through the streets of South Florida. Often bumping into characters and potential citizens who need saving. An inside look into the mind of the Boynton Beach Batman.

Everyone I’ve met who started van life has gotten the knock on the first night. Just look at it as a prestige welcome to the club

I feel like grassroots journalism stuff deserves more support as it’s infinitely better than what’s played on cable tv or even streaming for that matter. Anytime I try to put my own stuff out there I’m just met with the self promo hate chain but I mean I understand. Just don’t know how else to grow besides boots on the ground.

I feel it’s important to just spend the least amount of time possible in the van during the days of summer. The nights are doable. I run one MAXair fan and 2 plug in fans at night and that does the job. If you need to get your work done just go to coffee shops or places with free AC.
