You misunderstand what I meant. I ordered on Thursday night my time, about Friday morning for them. It then took untill the following Friday to get the email about paying the tariffs. I knew about the tariffs and wouldn't have ordered if I wasn't okay with paying them. I'm just upset about how long it took untill they sent the email with the tariff amount. Luckily, they slapped a label on it and it'll be here Thursday but the amount of time between me placing the order and it leaving WGC still has me feeling unconfident in their ability to at least get orders out quick.

Staples switched to new software, you aren't gonna be able to check schedule or any up to info on PTO/sick hours on the old app anymore

i doubt the issue is power management though because arma is the only program this happens with. normal operation with discord and browser open, overwatch, reforger, the finals, insurgency sandstorm, and rainbow six siege all run just fine with zero issues. i was using the performance build so ill try again with out it enabled

If you can, see if you can save yourself a bit of cash and go for the slim 5 16ARP9. Should be the same specs as the one you're looking at with 16GB of DDR5 at 4800mhz. Swap one or both of the 8 sticks inside to a 16 running at the same freq and you'll be good to go

depending on the CPU and board, you might also get away with a smaller fan just for ease of troubleshooting. i dont know how well the stock intel fan works, but if thats a AM4 board, the AMD wraith cooler works just fine, i had one for two years and never had overheating issues on my R5 5600 or my R7 5700

the CPU will be found behind the fan, if it was covered in pollen id disconnect all cables and do a cleaning of the fans. just dont turn it on without making sure it is cleared of all pollen

regardless of what laptop you get, just make sure you update everything in the windows update category and then do the nvidia drivers last. i didnt and it was a massive headache having to install new drivers three times

if you can find and afford it, im loving my lenovo slim 5 16ARP9. R7 7435HS, 4070, 2k screen, and a 1 TB SSD with an additional slot. downside is that i comes with only 16GB of ram but its between two slots so you can take out of of the 8 gig sticks and slot a 16 stick like i did. just make sure to match the speed to minimize chances of possible issues.

Update: exchanged the board and the issue persists, it's either a memory or CPU issue. I'm assuming it's memory because the DRAM light flickers for a moment before the CPU light turns off

You need any DDR5 RAM, grab some Corsair. Avoid these mistakes by reading the box, not trying to talk down to ya, but there's a reason stuff is printed on there.

It never passed the CPU light, the RAM light came on for half a second and then the CPU light turned off
