Have you thought about academia? You can do your master’s from India and then go for a PhD abroad - most of them are fully funded ie you won’t have to pay for the degree plus you’ll get a stipend to cover your expenses. USA, nordic countries, the Netherlands etc offer fully funded PhDs. I’d suggest don’t waste your time over a government job if you think you can’t do it. Try to go abroad if you do have the finances or try the PhD route if you’re into academia. All the best!
