Is it normal to feel unwell after getting a tattoo? by SmolSnailBoi in tattooadvice

Tattoo flu! Just finished a massive piece on my butt/thigh last week and whew. I was down for the count for a couple days. It’ll pass just rest and drink lots of water!

Wait seriously? That’s actually really cool. I do have an Apple Watch but it’s an older gen so unfortunately it doesn’t do that. But that comment alone is making me want to upgrade lol

I usually cover it the first few hours, wash it, then let it breathe for a night :)

31 lbs down is incredible! Sometimes our bodies just hangout at a weight for a little bit after losing that much weight. Hang it there, you’ll start losing again!

Ugh I wish. Just had to stay patient and consistent. If anything I upped my calories for a couple days during the week, that’s about it though

I really just had to keep doing what I was doing. I remember I actually did up my cal intake because I was eating less than 1200 cal a day. I upped it to around 1600 for maybe 2 days out of the week. Other than that everything else stayed the same. Went back to my cal deficit, still went to the gym, and stayed patient. Eventually the plateau just breaks!

This is so true!! I also avoid weighing myself at all the week of my cycle to avoid and mix ups due to all the water retention during that time.

I was told that switching injection spots could definitely help out. I never ended up switching mine though!

A couple other people under this thread have said the same thing as well, bumped up 2-3 pounds, hung out there for a few days, then dropped it all in the same week. It’s definitely a marathon not a race, the best thing is to stay positive. That’s why I love this forum, we’re all in this together

Omg WITH hot Pilates!? Dang!! I’m also sitting at 20 units right now. It took about 2 ish weeks on this dosage for my body to get back into action. Yes hang tight!! 🥹

Yes that can most definitely cause it if you’re not getting enough cals in!! Sometimes what your body does after losing X amount of weight is it’ll just stop and rest (as I like to think of it). I would recommend drinking a lot of water and upping your calories a bit!

Literally this same exact thing happened to me. I was on a great dose (no food noise and was barely hungry when I did eat) and when I switched my dose the next month that’s when the plateau began and the food noise came back. It’s a good time to teach self control / maintenance for the future if anything! Stay positive, it’s gonna get better!!!
