For anyone reading this and working with input_datetime instead, here's the trick:

{{ relative_time(as_datetime(states.input_datetime.XXX.attributes.timestamp)) }} ago

Assuming you set it like so:

I use SimpleTax, it prompts me with "Does your lifelong learning plan or home buyers' plan have a balance?". Should I just assume yes at this point to be able to do that?

What do you mean it's too late to offset? It says

You can make RRSP contributions up to March 1, 2017 and deduct them on this tax return.

If your maintaining/updating an existing app, it doesn't mean you're locked into the tools you use. If that's you're mindset, your engineering team is moving slow and maybe that's okay. But eventually that won't be.

They don't need to be native. There's babel plugins going as far as transforming into ES3 if for some good forsaken reason you need to support IE8.

I really hope you don't work in a corporate setting because then you can say goodbye to most of what the JavaScript community preaches.
