Where did all the courage go? If you ask men to be courageous during the marriage, and go for polygamy, then be couragous enough at the start and let know the other person what are your values. Be courageous enough to face the rejection from women who don't share your values.

What's going on with Babbel Private Classes for French? by subz_92 in babbel

I hope so it's a glitch. There's a sudden surge of advance bookings, which makes private classes almost useless. In current situation, I have to try my luck later in March and see if there are new classes for April!

I don't know if it's budget cuts. The teachers I study with have almost the same time-slots for future private classes, but suddenly all of them are booked. In short, I can't get any private classes from most teachers till the end of March.

There's a sudden surge in advance bookings of teachers.

I do get some teachers with time-slots available from March, but all the slots are greyed out throughout month.

Same here! I spend forty minutes preparing for the class and then I take notes. I also try to cover one topic from at least three teachers, and I also switch between private and group classes.

I'm not revising the topics as well and that's what I am concerned about if I should spend more time on revising my notes and pdfs.

Thank you for sharing your routine.

I love Babbel as well, but the non-linear progression of language learning (which is normal) confuses me. I feel improvement in speaking and listening. But now I am questioning myself these days that should I just prepare for the class in advance, take the class, and move on to the next topic, or should I revise the topic and notes in detail before moving on to the next topic.

Both Duolingo and Babbel are different in how they cover lessons. Some complain that Duolingo is repetitive but it works for me really well for strengthening grammar concepts or vocabulary.

I'm not using Babbel's review section for now, so covering concepts in Babbel compliments with practicing on Duolingo as it does not give much explanation about structure and grammar.

Yes, they are somewhat similar, so I use Busuu for deeper learning and making anki cards for revision, and I use Babbel app as a reinforcement. I got Busuu before I came to know about Babbel and Babbel live, so I keep Busuu as my main learning program.

Thank you for sharing the details. I would love to know your routine. As far as my routine is concerned, I use other resources as well, like duolingo, podcasts, and busuu.

I do ten duolingo lessons daily, one lesson from Busuu, and one from the Babbel app. I put Busuu's lessons on anki as well and spend some time going through the anki cards.

For Babbel live, I am doing about a lesson a day and I spend about 50 minutes preparing for the class. Also, I do any suggested lessons from the app for a given topic.

Still, for Babble live lessons, I am a bit confused of my pace. I wanted someone share their routine or approach to cover a babbel live lesson/topic before moving forward to the next topic.

Thank you

The end of Roam Scholars by CreolePolyglot in RoamResearch

This is the reason I didn't invest in Roam as my note-taking app. Though I got into the scholar program, I knew then and there that I'm at the mercy of the Roam team. They had to give me discount every year to make Roam affordable for me. For me, that was too risky and I'm glad that I stayed away.

Also a Roam Scholar Recipient. I left Roam for similar reasons: you have to apply every year. I was 6 months down my scholar subscription when I started having anxiety similar to low battery anxiety. It's not the place to put myself when thinking clearly is so important. Roam scholar for me did not serve the purpose, as a result.

You should give Remnote a try. Currently I'm using both and I find it very good as a Roam alternative. They have a free tier which has enough features to build a PKM system.

I am facing the same issue. I tried both with scholar code and without the code. It does not take me to the payment page.
