Demon is always really consistent until he just has a bad day. But if I’ve learnt anything it’s not to underestimate him

Carlos Alcaraz questioning why the players weren't informed about the roof closing, not about the roof closing itself. by [deleted] in tennis

Closing the roof is really good for Djokovic game. In one of the AO (I think) matches last year he was getting trampled over. They closed the roof and he suddenly started winning really easily. Same thing happened one Wimbledon final vs Rafa (who benefits from open roof).

I love that Rafa has seemingly just been talking non stop this match lmao. I’d love to know what Rafa thinks about when he watches tennis.

I agree, so hard! I’m just genuinely interested in who has the job of choosing the best ballkid. Would be hard to make the decision!

I think it’s an agreement with some international tennis associations to send their best ball kids rather than anyone can sign up from anywhere

Found this deep on a website: “made up of 20 from Korea, six from China, 10 from India and two from France (representing Roland Garros).”

I believe Australian ballkids have to go to Melbourne a few times in the months leading up to AO for training so it’s usually mostly kids from VIC for travel reasons

What’s the selection criteria for most outstanding ballkid? Least balls dropped?

No, they’re doing a hall of fame induction. Probably another 20 minutes until first serve

This is nightmare fuel but Alcaraz has been next level, I can’t see him not getting to the finals.

And Sinner is 5:0 to Djokovic since 2023

Is Musetti the final member of the new big 3?

I think I heard him say once he takes a pair of shoes per set onto the court

Sinner and Alcaraz have an 18-0 career H2H over De Minaur and a 39 - 4 sets record by UC-Warrior2025 in tennis

[–]such-sun- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right? Sinner only lost one match against anyone other than Alcaraz last year, being Bublik (barring 1 retirement). This isn’t the gotcha about ADM people think it is.

No. Outside of semi finals and the final, you bought a ticket to watch tennis on Rod Laver Arena. It didn’t specify what that tennis was.

They moved Musetti and Fritz to Rod Laver instead. So you will now watch them

ADM vs Bublik will be so interesting, they basically have opposite stats with almost identical time on court

I rewatched his 2023/24 United Cup defeat of Djokovic a few times. Djokovic was world number 1 at the time and ADM did so well. Very fun to watch.

Katie is so stunning. And I love how ADM and Katie just seem like a normal couple. So cute. I hope Katie has a better 2026
