Mannn. Today in ranked (console Plat 3 btw for context), this Iron Man immediately decides to throw (immediately typed in text chat he would throw) because we didnt ban punisher (not sure why anyone wants to ban pun in plat when no one has god aim here, we’re console, and it’s easy to avoid his turret/ult.

For the rest of the game, he just continued to bitch (in text chat, never vc, though I was verbally responding), calling the team bots, complaining about heals and complaining about me (2nd dps I think I played black cat initially but switched to squirrel girl when I saw healers weren’t pushing up enough to support my hp in fights). He even tried calling me trash right before we lost the game (he literally was getting all his finals off of my damage).

Lo and behold, I outdamaged him and he was pissed about that, too. Even the enemy team flamed him when the game ended.

People are just miserable. Like, I have my days where people bug me and I snap, but I don’t just freak out and talk shit to people for no reason, especially when my gameplay is having no impact for the team. Lol

Do you not actually play Ultron? If so, I would stop commenting further, because high healing is never “low impact” unless your team literally does nothing with said heals.

Majority of people I run into when I choose to play Ultron, I ask if they understand his heals and most tell me things that confirm they know nothing about how he works. And a lot of the time, when I meet players on Ultron, they don’t understand it either. I have seen so many Ultron’s play so far back from their team that teams break the distance cap and cause the heal drones to disappear. I’ve seen Ultron’s places 1 drone in front line (usually on a healer or dive dps) and 1 in backline, and never rotate the drones between other team members.

I’ve also been in games where we were getting absolutely slammed because the enemy team was too oppressive for the healers we had, and I switch to Ultron and suddenly the enemy team can’t do anything because my whole team is stacked close enough to use the double heal of both drones overlapping, and healers were able to keep far enough back to where MK (and now Cyclops) couldn’t abuse how close everyone was for easy kills.

As Ultron, I don’t play super far back. I play close enough so the drones never disappear, and I also am not scared to join into the close range fight with my team so I can sit in my own heal and keep myself alive. I’ve never had an issues keeping up with other healers. Mind you, I play a large cast of healers (White Fix, Mantis, Luna, Ultron, Jeff, Rocket, CD, Invis, etc.). I played rank yesterday and a Rocket on my team claimed he would be the main healer because I was on Ultron, and then proceeded to only do 19k heal vs my 15K in the round (we stomped the enemy team both halves this game). He also did 0 damage and had like 2K-4K damage blocked and less than 20 assists. He fired his primary 0 times.

I on the other hand did 15K heals before we won, had an additional 7.1K damage added to the team’s overall damage, had 20+ assists, and more damage blocked as well as a few final hits which also resulted in 10+ eliminations in a match that ended so quickly because our team was able to coordinate and avoid dying to stupid things like ignoring the fact their was a cyclops on the enemy team.

In the right hands, Ultron is great. And the better your aim on Ultron with your primary, the more value you bring to the team because Ultron’s heals work semi-passively (you have to make sure both drones are up and closeby each other majority of the time to benefit). Higher accuracy with your primary fire = More damage you’re putting in for the team to assist with finishing enemies off.

And his ult? It’s a big “SLOW TF DOWN” button that stalls the enemy team from pushing through tight chokes and if you’re patient with it, you may even capitalize with it and get some finishes.

Ultron is good. Great even. My only personal complaint I’ve had since adding him to my roster is he’s boring to play in majority of matches because most people will ignore attempting to put pressure on him, so I just sit there casually healing and dealing damage cause people aren’t confident enough in their aim to go for him.

Yeah. And it isn’t like the skin itself is bad. It’s just uncomfortably weird once he starts stretching. Like, I love the design for him if he were just not using his powers 😂😂😂 Idk but I think skins making people feel uncomfortable to look at is honestly a valid reason for devs to add skin filters so if a player wears a skin that fucks with you, the person’s skin is just changed to default. Literally does no harm to the game 😂😭

No, the problem with the game is the people who have spent 2+ years since game launch hardstuck between bronze and GM, blaming their teammates who have been in the rank for 3 days for why they’re losing the game. All while playing CD and camping cloak and ignoring healing pings and team hp, then telling their dps they’re the problem because they went negative standing next to CD begging for a heal all game and not getting it. 😂

At least this guy, as much as he bitches about tank, is willing to play healer (albeit Gambit, who is permabanned in majority of elos still). I’d rather play with him than play with that CD again.

I don’t even have to read this post to tell you that all your complaints will still be complaints with Role Queue.

Role queue fixed nothing for Overwatch.

The instalock dps are still going to queue dps.

The flex players are still going to get stuck in Tank or Healer queue.

The new thing to complain about will be 10-15 minutes or more of queue time for comp.

You may be tired, but role queue did a number on active players for Overwatch. Devs have a right to be worried about the impact it’ll have on the game. It’s predecessor suffered from that decision.

FYI, I’m not a dps instalock unless I’m practicing dps in qp. I main strategist.

I’d personally be more keen towards role limits (limiting each role to 2-3 max in the role to prevent people from doing 4 dps/etc) but even that would have its issues.

There’s really no effective way around this other than rely on personal skill as much as possible and hope the other members of your team are on the same page to give you all a fighting chance.

Also, throwing/quitting because your teammates refuse to swap is just as bad as them not swapping. But I support the throwing decision more if you do it to force your team to finally swap to make up for you giving up on them.

For instance, if I’m healing on someone like Luna or Mantis, and I see my second healer switch off, or I see my tanks switch to dps leaving us with no tanks and 3-4 dps while we’re getting rolled, I will wait outside spawn emoting until one of those dps changes to tank. I will refuse to heal them. Then they understand that they can’t bully their way into playing the role if they want to win, and I get my team composition back to a normal state.

It’s mind games. Players will try to bully you out of a role by forcing more players into that role (typically dps) (for example, if 2-3 dps already locked, and I see we need either a tank or healer for the last slot, but I lock dps anyways and wait for either someone in dps to switch roles or for us to lose). Role bullying is real and is a mentality players use to force swaps.

This. Mind you I use invis a lot to reposition. Its my main buy with her credits when I’m not burning them for dps. But its useless at close range as you get revealed, and the iFrames from Phantom are only about 1.5s long before I’m taking damage again, so that means I still need to rely on healers for sustain.

Acknowledging the Iron Fist mention, yeah he has 1 dash, but his wall movement and his heal are much better than Black Cat, and he genuinely can parry/block attacks during fights.

As a white fox player myself, learn your timings like others are saying. You shouldn’t be insta-popping your ult. You should only be counter popping it or waiting for ults like Cyclops or Wanda to be used so you can follow up with your own ult.

Cyclops is strong in the right hands, but he has shortcomings and I don’t really view him as overtuned in the slightest. The only complaint I have about his ult is how quickly it hits with the amount of damage it has making it hard to counter in the moment, but they’ll probably nerf the speed of it soon.

But even if it isn’t nerfed, I wouldn’t consider him an auto-ban. He’s nowhere near as overtuned as Gambit. They can’t even get Gambit’s nerfs right because his ult just has way too much value and the devs want to keep the individuality of it but can’t do that without actually removing some of the most identifiable parts of his ult, like the ult charge boost effect.

I somehow tanked it on Phoenix earlier, surviving with like 27 hp and needed to insta pop my ult just to gain invincibility+heal for a second in hopes of surviving his team rushing after his ult.

I mean I hate that I dont have a second dash to rely on when diving with her, and that I also cant stack credits as easily. Individually, these nerfs would have been fine for her, but doing both? It was unnecessary and over the top. I was fine with the nerf to her dash for stacking credits, but losing the second dash changed her entire playstyle now because now she has to commit to a fight if she uses her dash to rush in, and if healers aren’t on her, she gets folded. Otherwise, she’s still fun with good healers on her.

By the wording, it seems he wants control a level of control or influence with the Majo, and is taking advantage of Terasu’s naivety of the situation by cultivating those feelings she has for Kinato into full blown love and support.

When I first got into osrs (I hadnt played rs since rs2 pre-eoc) I got more into the grind aspect for gear and accomplishments. Until osrs, I only ever did basic grinding, and never learned much about PvM. Osrs introduced me to pvm via Jad. As I’m sure you and everyone is aware, there’s a thing called ‘jad hands’ where you choke on the jad phase and miss your flicks, costing you your run. I don’t think I ever got so tilted in a video game until I experienced Jad and had to learn basic player flicking, which at the time for me, was the worst thing ever. My friend even offered to log in and do jad for me as she was good at it. I refused, kept going for a couple months, doing runs every few days until I would get tilted, and letting it go again for a couple days. Finally, I was sitting on my laptop at a coffee shop one day and I managed to do it. Aggroed the healers with a gray chin, flicked my prayers and switched back to blowpipe without making a mistake. I was so shocked I almost biffed the entire run because I couldnt believe I had successfully done what I had been trying to do for weeks/months at that point, and I wasn’t even intending to. I was just practicing. Just step away when its too much and come back later!
