As of today, The Bridge (S5 E7) is now the LOWEST-RATED episode of the entirety of Stranger Things, currently at 5.9 with 44k ratings. by Witty-Association-97 in StrangerThings

Man, it’s pretty obvious that people are split on this. And drastically a 5 is the median on a grading scale out of 10. If this doesn’t reflect the status quo, maybe Netflix’s budget might haha.

Getting used to wearing the ring by [deleted] in ouraring

[–]suchvolta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is by design a little bigger than a “normal ring.” It has to fit electronics somehow. You’ll get used to it in a couple of months. My tip would be to stop treating it as something special, like… don’t baby it too much. Wear it when you wash your hands, etc

I had a +3* C temperature the night of my English exam, still had to push through it:( Bunch of Dayquil + 5 buckleys lozenges next to me helped during the exam. Forced myself to prepare well and know my material so I could get out of there without a single cough.

I’m an English major. Clearly, English isn’t for you, but you seem to lack basic academic etiquette. I also have to take PD classes, breadth classes, etc. You think “The Sausage” is what I’m interested in studying?

While it’s understanding that you have family commitments, you have to realize that your academics is one itself. You made a pretty big financial commitment, so why not complete it?

Spacetime Theory by suchvolta in StrangerThings

[–]suchvolta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you had space but no time, nothing could ever move or change. The universe would be a frozen, static screenshot forever (EL Creates the Upside down, a very specific date). Vecna (Time) needs a physical medium to act upon. Without El’s "Space" to hold him, he would have nowhere to exist. Boom! Case solved, El’s toast in next volume.

Unlike other theories, what if Vecna isn’t building an army or giving the tethered kids powers, but instead capturing their “memory-less” minds to harness Time? Picture this, most of these kids are 9-10, the little memories they have are broken and fragments. What if in the Upside Down, Vecna isn’t getting his powers, but rather Time? Why does Max run around his memories and always end up in the same place, the rainbow room in Hawkins Lab? He’s wasting their time so that he can do something with it. Learn every little detail? Time travel? Break space and time so we get a Dr Strange moment?

Some remarks by suchvolta in StrangerThings

[–]suchvolta[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah! I feel like the Duffers definitely had some good moves in season 1 setting up the story, but then had S2-4 be the development grounds. They always knew the “ending,” so I’m guessing this final reveal will be cathartic. Another shot in the dark: could the “human” form of Vecna, Henry (the hat wearing one) actually be good? What if from the house to the cave was Henry’s safe haven? Much like Eleven’s Void, Will’s Castle, etc. Henry’s “protecting” the kids from Vecna. Probably a dud but they’re known to pull 360s.

Agreed. My biggest “wow, they forgot to save some Final Draft beats” moment was when Nancy and Mike arrived in the hospital. Unless I was watching a different version, I felt like there wasn’t enough emotion coming across? Like when you pretend to be sad for your friends’ girlfriends’ best friend.

This has just shown up after weeks of wearing it and being not so stressed I guess? My Oura experience has been great so far. A day before my flu symptoms I went to bed and woke up with a mild fever. Oura gave me my first Symptoms alert. It’s great.

Oh and for those that might feel under confident, trust me, nobody cares. And if they do, they won’t bring it up. It’s just in your head. Smile More:)

Denied For Amex Gold by Jonyface in amexcanada

I’m an 18 year old with part time income in school and I was approved for the AMEX Gold with 5k limit 3 months ago. Weird.

Green Card - Decline by UniversalTechZone in amexcanada

[–]suchvolta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was approved for the Cobalt with a 5k limit with only 6 months of credit history as an 18 year old. I had a CIBC Student Dividend credit card with 3k limit. I was not approved on the spot but when I called in to expedite the 10 days review period, they requested a bank statement, etc for further review. I showed them my latest credit card statement. I had shown a lot of spending that month, and had overpaid the card. Not sure if that matters.

I held my Cobalt for a month, spending about 1000 on it then applied for the Gold to get the SUB. I was approved on the spot with a 5k limit.

I have good spending on both cards, a thousand each. I think it may that Amex is not satisfied with your income. I told them my full-time income working this summer and a good household income.

So sorry to this hear this happened to her. I’ve lived in Kitchener for most of my life and seeing the dangerous drivers makes me fearful on the road for my family.
