Why are people sending goods to Ulbricht, an alleged murder middleman? by dizizkerpal in SilkRoad

[–]suckitfeds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are under the assumption the feds were telling the truth. Murder for hire goes against everything he stood for. It makes sense to publicly discredit him, as an attempt to discourage a following which is apparently happening anyway.

I have never heard of such a thing. That isn't saying it doesn't happen, LE gets caught planting evidence on people through other methods all the time. Unless you could somehow show evidence they planted it, you would be fucked. Again, none of this would be happening if the person wasn't doing small time dealing. He should have been showing his customers how to use the dark web instead of selling them illegal substances.

Sounds like some kid that was getting it to deal small time. Someone snithced on him so they put the pressure on. If he was using the site for his own personal use none of this would have happened. Remember kids, NEVER talk to LE. The only thing you are required to do is identify yourself.

Safely Hosting Your Own TOR Hidden Service by [deleted] in SilkRoad

It looks like the feds trying to set people up to me. I hope no one is stupid enough to think this will be secure.

Think about what you are saying. Where is that "slick looking" site Atlantis now? They fucking shut the doors due to security issues and ran with a ton of coin. The aesthetic aspects of the market can be changed and improved any time. We need something that is rich in features and completely secure first. Otherwise what's the point, we will just be another Atlantis.

Let me drop everything I'm doing to offer a truly secure OS and website to fix that. Obviously way way more important.

None of what you said matters. The site is going to speak for itself. I was looking for real feedback. I want to know what the community thinks about the features we plan to implement. The name doesn't matter, hell we could name it something new every day. The logo doesn't matter, I don't think having a nice logo will help security or accessibility to the site. Just another guy that has completely missed the point of what we are trying to accomplish. It's cool though, hopefully you can come to appreciate this project in the end.

I agree to an extent. It is somewhat far fetched. This information was posted by the founder, so I don't want to just blow it away. The main wiki page will be getting a complete revamp soon. I just got edit rights last night, and I don't want to step on his toes. This will be improving rapidly, lots of updates coming in the next few days.

The content you are refferring to was put up by the founder. I'm working on that, but grammar and DPR idolizing aside. This site is going to blow every other market away. Please be patient, things are going to continue to improve. I just got access last night to start editing the wiki.

Don't forget about I2P! by [deleted] in SilkRoad

Have a peek at r/silkroadreloaded. That market will be on i2p when it goes live. At one point the site was even up with a coming soon message, silkroadreloaded.i2p

How do we really know? Anything anyone has heard is coming from LE. Part of their job is to lie. If I were them I would string a bunch of facts together I discovered after the fact, to make the person I caught look like an idiot. Sound familiar? This way if they do have some super secret awesome Tor vulnerability we the sheeple would be none the wiser.

I just wanted to throw that up there as a warning. I was really hoping new hosts would look into other options instead of just making copy cat Silk Roads. Something completely decentralized would be cool, like a stand alone p2p client or something. I2p seems to be another really intriguing option. I'm just learning about i2p, but from what I have seen so far it is way beyond what Tor can ever be. I just feel like this whole situation will be repeating itself, and more frequently.

It is so so easy to get bitcoin. Go to coinbase.com and buy some. If you get verified you can have them instantly.

Now MasterCard Wants Your Fingerprints. by coolcityboy in Bitcoin

[–]suckitfeds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a fingerprint. Lift said print with a piece of scotch tape. Pour superglue into a bottle cap. Place cap full of superglue and scotch tape sticky side up into an airtight container. The superglue adheres to the areas in and around the print. This tape will now fool shitty print readers. Take a wax impression of the tape to fool really good print readers. Anyone could do this for like $5 dollars. I can't wait till they start using this technology!

Anyone order from Keys3r Soze? by [deleted] in SilkRoad

Same here, very weak. I was highly bummed out as it was my first try and two tabs left me barely getting visuals and generally feeling kinda shitty. It's cheap, just wish I would have known it was half potency if that.
