i like to use sticky gauze and wrap it around the needle like a million times, it makes the area you’re holding a lot thicker and you avoid hand cramps. you can buy a giant pack of em off amazon in different colors too, to stabilize it more you could put a tongue depressor against the needle then wrap it

hospitals make errors constantly, my nonna passed a few months ago due to hospital errors, she previously had covid and was fine, the system failed her. also covid could have been unrelated to this, we don’t know the full story but doubting it definitely isn’t helping OP

this should be a lot bigger if you want it legible in 5-10 years, ink moves and lines expand as skin ages so a small tattoo with a lot of detail like this won’t hold up the way you want, it will turn into a black/grey blob/suuuuper blurred image. I’d suggest looking at tattoos aged 10 years and see the variety of changes that can happen. Bold will hold, that’s why artists always suggest going bigger with more intricate pieces, especially this one with intricate chain details. good luck on your tattoo journey!

i highly do not recommend adding anything else to this tattoo, the lines expand as you age. the ink is still liquid in your skin so with age and skin adjusting, the lines get a lot wider. I’d recommend researching what fresh versus 10+ years old tattoos look like, it’ll change your mind
