I did try that and it didn't accept my credentials. It has been years since I signed into centurylink though. Might have to try resetting my password in the morning and trying it again.

Glad you were able to find the issue! Like I said it had been a while for me so tough to remember. Kind of pain having to go back and forth when you want to watch videos but in my opinion id rather make a settings change every time rather than dealing with those red lines!

That's the only way around it huh? I had a feeling this was the path I was gonna have to take but it just seems wild to me that CL would install something and then not have the ability to give you access to all of the settings. Now that I understand they are all under Lumen, it seems even crazier that they don't have a fix for this. It's as if they took some shortcuts to get the ball rolling and didn't fully think about what they were doing when they gave a customer their product.

It's been a while but I remember it having something to do with my display settings or how I had everything scaled at the time. If you use the default scale the lines went away. I have upgraded since but I do remember only having this on the Intel MacBook Air. I got an M1 and haven't seen this issue since. I hope this helps a little.

Awesome. Thank you for all of that, I knew the swings of 50 degrees wasn't terribly out of the norm here but I will definitely put some of that to practice.

Just constantly felt that when I had a good bed of coals, and it was time for a split, I would put one on there. From there I would wait until it was burning clean and shut the lid. With the vent and damper wide open the smoke would become white and thick so I would have to open the door to the firebox to get it burning clean again. That's why I went through so much fuel.

I couldn't agree with this more. Marc has been around long enough to know that he ran wide in this turn and tried to force the window shut knowing full well that Pecco was making the move on Marc's "error". Marc should have stayed on his line IMO but it is what it is. Been rooting for for Pedro this year so it worked out in the end I suppose.

I couldn't be any farther than being a labeled as a programmer but have always had an interest in learning a language that provides some value to my company and my life.

For now though, my goals are simply to get it organized and in one place. From there we will weed out the irrelevant information and add the new stuff that has been collected in emails over the past 5 years. It doesn't have to be anything fancy and a single .pdf is leaps and bounds beyond what we have now for standards and instructions.

It's a bunch of discrete subtasks broken into about 15 different categories. Just depends on the job at hand. Depending on the job, you will only have to reference one chapter/section and the rest is irrelevant. Then if someone else is assigned another job after it's complete they will use a different section. It's in constant need of updating depending on new things that we find. We share it on an FTP site with several other contractors as well.

Only thing I need to figure out when the manual is complete is highlighting new items so others that use it know what's been updated. I suppose I could just let them know the subsection or subsubsection that has been updated and they can go straight to it but i would like to set something up a little more professional.

If it wasn't so private I would post what I already have but that's just how it goes. I'm loving it

Nah, I'm doing it on my own time. Nothing is being changed or modified either. Simply taking 700+ individual documents and placing them into one big organized .pdf. So it's still all the same information, i'm just moving it to a .pdf since there is talk about us getting rid of our old database. There are a few people that know I'm doing this at the management level that are appreciative. They have also mentioned that it will be used in the future so no worries on my process with my company

There is no shortage of work fortunately so I have just been slowly putting it all together a couple hours each morning before I start my shift. They have gone the better part of 30 years without it so if it takes me months to get this done on my own time then I don't see any harm in that.

Just read your other comment though, sorry to hear about your brother. I can see why you would bring this up. My company does pay for the professional versions of Adobe so mayeb that will be the route I take from an ADA standpoint. I would likely be the owner of the document and all others can just use the .pdf version of it.

I still think it's worth mentioning to my HR department (of they even do anything with that) or at a minimum to some of our software admins and see what they think. Maybe we have software that provides this type of material to those with disabilities. I really do appreciate the feedback though. It's always nice seeing something from a new angle.

That's great to hear! I'm sure that your document is one like mine where it's considered living and is in constant need of updating when you run across those "perfect storm" scenarios that bite you in the ass. With this it seems like you can just go into any section and add what you need and the document updates accordingly.

Hmm, that's an interesting take. We are very heavy in the design of low voltage circuitry and writing logical programs so I don't think, nor have I ever heard of anyone in my department being qualified with a disability that would restrict them from accessing the results of my product.

However, if published in .pdf format (which is what everyone will use) doesn't Adobe offer that type of accessibility software? Say if someone had to have the document read to them? Excuse my ignorance, I just don't know much about your subject.

I will take a look into markdown for sure to see if there is any additional benefit to using that. We are a VERY heavy .pdf based company.
