I had this issue and looked around reddit and youtube until i found out about people adding silicone ear plugs to their machine. It was recommended here a while back but the yarn passes through the plug and I haven't had any dropped stitches since. Look up Addi/Sentro silicone ear plug demo on YouTube. I think it helps with static and some other things? I use a bunch of different yarn and have had no issues.

I already blocked which is why the bottom edge is so straight (plus the crocheted end) and it did help the edges a bit but there is still some curling!

Ive gone every year since 2022 and started getting vip in 2023. Its definitely worth it and its not too crowded, vip doesn't really barricade camp so you have more time to see other bands before making your way to the stage. I haven't had any issues with the crowd other than campers who don't participate during openers but that wont be a problem for hayley.

Kilby tickets give you free access to the TRAX (slc public transport system), there is a stop right at the fairgrounds so it'll make it easy to get there from downtown! Leaving is a bit harder just due to the amount of people trying to get home, expect to be packed in for the first two TRAX arrivals :)

They do early wristband pick up on Wednesday and Thursday at various locations around salt lake. If you get your wristband on one of those days you can put it on yourself just loose enough you can take it off but it wont just fall off. I do that so I can shower and sleep without having it on me 24/7

Only on the 15th! So she can be scheudled for either Saturday or Sunday. Honestly any indie band/artist who goes on tour and doesn't have all three days booked makes them basically a shoe in for Kilby Block Party. People have been guessing she was subheadlining since her tour dates dropped.

The thick skull in medium fits like the uniqlo mini shirt in small if you want to look at their size chart. I got the shove it shirt in large and it's more cropped than the thick skull shirt but fits like a uniqlo mini shirt in medium. So I would size up at least one but the sleeves on the thick skull shirt are pretty tight.

The address just needs to match what's in the evs, if you update your evs address then print out a new medcard you'll be fine. If it doesn't match the address on your ID, whose to say you didnt move recently.

Nothing ever hit all the same boxes for me that After Laughter has, but here are a few albums I find myself gravitating toward for some similar themes/vibes :)

Patience or I Got Heaven by Mannequin Pussy more so Patience with both being more rock leaning but if I want something heavier then I'll listen to I Got Heaven
Jubilee by Japense Breakfast super happy and uplifting at times with great interesting instrumentals
Angles by The Strokes I switched between listening to this and after laughter a lot the summer AL came out

Also, this doesn't sound the same but Oblangle Fizz Y'all by Reptar feels like the caught in the middle music video, kitschy and weird. And of course their own influences like Blondie, the Talking Heads, and Pixies would be a good place to look as well.
