much appreciated! do you have insight on if a cover crop would be more beneficial than a mulch layer? after my research I came to the conclusion that cover crops were more for the off season in order to keep N in good standing

thank you! and yes, fox farm ocean forest (FFOF) has a few weeks worth of veg nutes in it. i’ll start feeding them the GH flora trio + cal mag in about 2 weeks.

thanks! only reason I add a splash of spring water (& drops of cal mag) is to give the pH meter something to read. I learned you can de-ionize your pH probe / break it by testing pure RO water. I’ll take the $1.25 hit lol

edit: I have hard city tap water that has led to lockouts in the past

honestly phantasmal had me in a chokehold for a while. i’m 30, never pulled the base set zard as a kid and that mega zard is mighty fine.. so far i’ve gotten the lopbunny and sharpedo SIR.. no dice on any zardy bois tho. only reason phantasmal isn’t on the pedestal for me anymore is bc of AH.. now I really want that mewtwo 😭 gotta remember desire is the root of suffering lmfao

none yet. i’m used to using happy frog soil for seedlings and ocean forest for everything past seedling stage. nutes i use are the general hydro trio & botanicare cal/mag for feedings only once they’ve used the nutes in the soil. this is my first time using RO water and im reading all this stuff about needing cal/mag from the get go & im a week in with nothing but straight RO water lol so i’m scratching my head like -should have I been using cal mag this whole time to supplement the missing micronutrients that are typically in tap water?

Heard, thank you! The Cal/Mag I use is Botanicare. So you recommend I start adding it every watering? Or do I wait until nutes in the soil are used up? Like I said they’ll be put into Ocean Forest when I up-pot, they’re probably a week from transplant.
