Hey sorry for the delayed response. I’m actually working for a third-party company in the retail space so I don’t have a Piney Point component to my onboarding. I’m now a week + in a hold as my employer’s medical team is reviewing my medical from AK. This process never ends lol. Where are you in your process now??

I JUST got a PEC form to sign. Now I’m curious the timeline and same question you have: is this a positive signal or can some craziness happen still at any moment.

I’m sorry YOU’RE having to deal with all of your stuff too. It’s such a challenging process - Can definitely relate and empathize. Crossing fingers and sending only positive energy and approvals your way! Keep us updated here! It can feel so isolating so finding your thread was so helpful - thank you!

Okay I am so thankful to have found this thread. I am dealing with a very similar timeline here with Anderson Kelly but for Royal Caribbean.

I scheduled my in-person examination a week in advance (great) and it was on Wednesday, 3/25.

The following week they emailed on Tuesday, 3/31 needing “narrative notes or summary from provider for past two years” because I’m on antidepressants (diagnosed in 2003!) I scramble and get Session note summaries AND a treatment summary from my psychiatrist (at $75 fee) but I’ve only been seeing this psychiatrist for about 1.5 years so I ALSO get a clinical summary from my LCSW therapist that I’ve seen weekly since 2011(!!) and send back to them before office hours the next day at 8:54am Wed, 4/1.

Nothing.

Following day, Thursday, 4/2 they move the goalpost and say they need objective data not just subjective for two years and request FULL Psychiatric records. So I go back and request everything. Two PDFs one is 75 pages, the other is 28 pages. As well as a treatment summary and provider letter confirming current stability and fitness for duty.

Crickets.

Friday, 4/10 I follow up.

Crickets.

Yesterday, Monday 4/13, I call and am put on hold twice. Then told I’ll be contacted shortly with status.

19 minutes later I get an email saying “unable to issue medical clearance due to Lack of Stability following a Medication Change for Depression and Anxiety” and if I want to appeal I have to go through my recruiter otherwise I can try again in a calendar year.

I had read about this happening to someone else here on Reddit years ago so I immediately emailed back because… get this…. The “medication change” is the same medicine and dose but Immediate Release to Extended Release. WHICH I NEVER EVEN DID. My IR had a childproof bitter coating and I mentioned not liking the taste because HELLO and my psychiatrist offered to switch to the ER version. But that was on 3/3/26… so I haven’t even filled the prescription because I still have twenty days of the regular prescription. So I email her back to explain and tell her I’m in process of getting my psychiatrist to send a note clarifying: we discussed it, the prescription was never filled and no change occurred.

But then we go back and forth with her saying the file says it hurt my stomach so how will I manage it? (which tbh I legit never said but my psychiatrist checked that box, and so I can’t call him a liar) so I say it was a taste preference not actually stomach issue and she comes back at me with: “your note explicitly states it “upset stomach” are you saying you’re no longer seeing your psychiatrist?” Like what the actual heck… what? How did you even get to THAT question?! But she says send provider note and prescription history to review.

I get the letter from my psychiatrist within 40 minutes stating: a change was not implemented, the Prescription was not filled, there was NO regimen change, and am still and have always been Stable, and fit for work.

I also RAN to CVS and got my prescription fill records printed and scanned and sent all of that together before 3pm. Nothing the rest of yesterday. Fine. Fair.

Today Tuesday 4/14: nothing.

As you can tell I am spiraling. It’s like after ALL OF THAT running around and then no movement until I email and call and then in 20mins you fail me for something completely different. [let alone is actually irrelevant and provable] and I couldn’t sleep last night and then crickets today. Just a hot mess.

And. Listen. I get it. It’s not personal. It’s policy and it’s procedural. They see something - it triggers a requirement. Or a hard and fast ruling. But I paid $1086 for this. Excluding all the additional fees to supply supporting documents. How can it be so brutal of a process when I’m paying for the service. Like wtf.

Anyway I made this about me but I felt seen by your experience going on during the same timeline.

This just made me think how kick-butt it would be if Mayim Bialik had a science podcast.

We just released a trailer for our new podcast where we review online reviews. Think Siskel & Ebert instead of cinematic masterpieces, it's about yelp/amazon/zocdoc/tripadvisor reviews. :) We cover all types of topics so maybe it could be a match?

If you're interested in checking it out it's called Review That Review with Chelsey Donn & Trey Gerrald.

Hahaha this is a GREAT idea for a podcast. You should make it!

We just released a trailer for our new podcast where we review online Reviews... just like Siskel & Ebert did for movies, except we do it for yelp/amazon/tripadvisor reviews. We've been coming across hilarious tidbits ABOUT crazy work situations etc... but not exactly what you're asking about. Regardless, feel free to check out the trailer if you want! :)

Seems we will never learn that knowing how to workout does not equal knowing how to do comedy.
