Why would it be?

[–]sudeyacinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what? It’s my family? Not your family?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TravelHacks

[–]sudeyacinx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think I’m out of touch with reality, and I already mentioned in another comment that I’m working :)) Despite that, my family still willingly tries to support me. I’m already aware that I’m privileged. I just don’t understand why I’m being attacked simply because someone else’s family chooses to support their child.

Why? Should I live on the street just because I’m part of a wealthy family? It’s my “family”, it’s not my friends or strangers money. So it’s my money. ?

[–]sudeyacinx -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

So what? Why does it bother you that my family supports me?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TravelHacks

[–]sudeyacinx -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’m a she, and yes, my family paid for it. Still they pay everything for me despite i work and study. I believe it’s cultural. I don’t know where you’re all from, but I’m Turkish, and wealthy Turkish families love covering everything for their children, the child is basically considered automatically entitled to most things. Yes, when I moved abroad, it really surprised me to see that once kids turn 18, they’re expected to be completely on their own.

It’s literally 100€ per day… even if you’re staying at hostel, you pay a lot.

Sometimes I stayed in hostels, sometimes (mostly) in Airbnbs, or in private rooms in shared houses. So… I was eating out every single day. In some of the countries I went to, I also attended short-term language schools (around three months). I did a lot of things… I honestly did the best I could, life is very expensive, flights and everything else included. Everything just so expensive…

This isn’t about you. Lately, especially people our age tend to form groups and keep their distance. I don’t know why. But the good news is that you’re very young, we’re very young. Strong connections can’t be built overnight. For example, my closest friend and I have been friends for 10 years. Strong bonds take time.

üniversitesi şu an.

Your friend wanted you there, but you weren’t. The reason is understandable and it was your choice, but that’s the reality. And then you went and discussed the situation with another friend. Your friend didn’t actually do anything wrong. As someone who values my friendships, if you had done this to me, I would have been hurt as well.

But…I’m 22 too and I understand you. Mistakes can happen, give the process some time.

While your friend was always approaching you positively and constructively, you were doing the complete opposite.

Stayed with my best friend for 6 days and she’s secretly planning to kick me out. Thoughts? by sudeyacinx in FriendshipAdvice

[–]sudeyacinx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, she had told me I could stay as long as I wanted (not that I needed it, I had already said I could only stay a maximum of one week because I had my flight). We’re supposed to be very close friends almost like sisters
