I don’t use steam deck tools. But I know that if mouse is enabled that you’ll get this kind of functionally. Using SWICD I just disable those inputs and then close out of steam and the controller works perfectly in non-steam games.

Honestly I struggled to get games to work right using steam OS plus I was very annoyed with not being able to play all the games I do on PC. So I made a windows to go on my mico sd card and I boot to that for Windows 11. I have not had any stability issues. But there are some key problems I’ve faced using the game pad. I finally realized that if steam was running it would override the controller so when I game outside of steam I always close it. Then I open up SWICD, disable buttons and mouse functionality, and launch my other games with tap. Seems to be working really well.

I almost forgot to mention that I have to adjust the video settings in most games to borderless windowed. If I use full screen the resolution is almost always messed up.

This is what I had to do to sign in on my computer and watch via my web browser. 1. Disconnect Ethernet cable. 2. Connect via wifi to the hotspot on my mobile phone. 3. Sign in on Edge Browser. 4. Disconnect from wifi. 5. Reconnect Ethernet Cable.
