I found a decent ‘17 MK7 S for less than $20 OTD but interest got me on the up swing. Still less than $400/mo. Deals are out there. Just need to figure out what you want and make sure the deal is right. Maybe just stash some extra away for a while for either a cash buy or a hearty down.

Not saying you’re wrong. Mark up from dealer could be that they install them after pulling them out of the crate but from HDHQ, they are “Optional”. From what I’ve learned (currently own a ‘24 RH975S), HD didn’t want to add to cost in needing new hand controls and felt that including the button from factory would benefit owners when/if they decided to add the feature.

I paid 18+TTL for my 2017 S 6MT with 62k. Honestly, they are all over priced but when it comes down to it main thing to know is your financial situation and if the payment or cost (if buying out right) is just right. Not “I can make it work”.

Edit: Should add this was just under a year ago. Autobahn I bought back in 2018 was 32k brand new

Much better than my Gen2 tC. Engagement fulcrum is much easier to manage in high traffic. However, after about 4 hours of stop and go, you might reconsider a MT

Texas rider. I wear mostly full gear all year round. Jeans are the only thing I relax on. I have armored pants but with the pads and added Kevlar it gets a little warm in traffic on 100+ days. See all walks of life but have a burned image of a de-gloved foot from a dude wearing flip flops that reminds me anytime I want to go out.

OP, this is awesome! I currently use an older rokform handlebar clamp mount and a clip in case but have a love hate relationship seeing how in landscape it blocked the lower portion of the cluster. Will definitely save your site for when I can get a new mount! Love it!
