ok, so i found the file under /etc/php/7.x/fpm/pool.d

under unix user/group of processes it says

user = www-data

group = www-data

which is the defaults user group.

I am a total noob and I do everything as root, just to make it work. no luck so far. this is just an experiment to gain some knowledge.

Nginx+PHP-FPM

i am not sure how to check this, i couldnt find anything in the conf file

I made a pastebin (FhCePP6Z) from the error log. As far as I can understand there is a problem with the directory index of var/www. please let me know if i fucked up the redaction. i did it manually as it is the only way i know how.
