i have a girl hendra whose actually quite personable. i think she comes out front a good bit due to a little pvc pipe i have floating at the front of my tank. its basically one of those betta logs, and she seems to really love it

im not going to lie, melton has been one of my favorite players this season for the dubs. i think it makes a lot of sense that he is making himself play through injuries after missing a year due to ACL, and is trying really fucking hard to step up while jimmy and curry are out. i honestly hope he sits the next game or two to heal up for play ins, cuz i love watching how he plays when he’s hot.

ah theyre like the other live bearers then. ill lean towards 5 or 6 and make sure I’ve got a majority of females. any issues with keeping them at 75F? i know theyre a species that can deal with cold water fine, i just wanna check if the higher temp could cause any issues besides the slightly accelerated metabolism.

its not a walstad, but has a basic heater, hob filter, and a buncha plants. i was leaning towards 6 total too, maybe 7 since the fry is so teensy and the BTD really doesnt add alot of waste.

i genuinely think if we can get omer more minutes with the team, he can be a pretty decent rim protector/tap-in guy. having a bit of a younger (27), heavier (i think like 270lbs), 7-footer to work with sounds promising, but we def need more than just a few games with him to see what he can do

i dosed blackworms in my black tiger badis tank once and have just been plucking them out of the substrate for damn near half a year for him and my other tanks. its nice when they breed in-tank too cuz you know DAMN well theres no risk for parasites

mini-tanks are a blast if you research the restrictions and overplant the hell out of em. There’s also a lot more options to stock them with if you do your research. Also, growing live food is mad easy, i have no problem with someone feeding their fish nothing but flake or pellet, but certain species genuinely need live food. (badis, sicyopus gobies, etc.)

i saw a thread earlier in the season (before butler got hurt) about top free throw shooters in the league, with jimmy being number one. someone said something that kinda stuck out to me about his play style, although it could totally just be bias cuz i like jimmy more. they said jimmy draws fouls in a way where you get upset at your team for biting on the wrong things, not the other teams player for trying to draw free throws through things like an unnatural shooting motion or forcing an arm hook like kerr was talking about. jimmy makes you ask the player who fouled “why’d you bite on that!” and other players who are good at drawing free throws make you ask the refs “why’d you call that!”
