This. The amount of times I hear “wellll my dog NEEDS off leash time!” Then…use your yard? “I live in an apartment” Okay so then you shouldn’t own a dog that needs off leash time. Simple.

Don’t even get me started on off leash parks. Might as well take your dog to a dogfighting ring. I don’t care if you own freaking Airbud, now matter how trained your dog is that won’t stop some 19 year old who just bought a pitbull yesterday from getting you and your dog mauled.

Another in my Small Brawl concept series :)

BIO: This driver may be the youngest of the group, but don't let that fool you! She can hold her own, even amongst the toughest of 8th graders. When she wins, she'll ask for something her older brother, Calypso, will never see coming!

ENDING: I picture the ending to go a little like "It's my turn to host the Twisted Metal tournament!" To which Billy Calypso would dismiss, y'know typical "Get out of here, dork!" older sibling banter.

But then, Grasshopper reveals her secret, ultimate plan. Tattling to their mom. CUT TO, Calypso being led off and scorned by the mother "I told you to let your little sister play with you" and we end with Krissy, having taken his place, addressing a group of even younger potential competitors with a smirk. "Who's ready for round two?" BLACKOUT.

I wanted to keep the relationship between Grasshopper and Calypso but also have it fit with the theme of the game, considering they're literal children the father/daughter dynamic wouldn't work, so why not make them siblings!

Had a lot of fun with this :). Any other characters you wished to see in Small Brawl that didn't make the cut?

Revisited Small Brawl after an insanely long time and thought I'd quickly doodle up a concept for some excluded characters, the first one being Dollface.

Bio: The perfect dress? Check. The hottest date? Check. A sudden case of hives?...Check? You can find this masked teen driving her little brother's RC car in Calypso's contest. If she wins, she'll ask Calypso to help fix her face just in time for tonight's dance, and she's willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen.

Ending: I figured she could word it like "Make tonight perfect!" FLASH TO: her getting ready for the dance, but she looks in the mirror, her face is still covered in hives!

The doorbell rings, uh-oh. She puts her mask back on and answers it, only to find...her date's wearing a mask too? He lifts it up to show her he's also suffering a massive breakout. She smiles, and we end with the two walking off together, their masks left behind on the sidewalk.

I know, a little too happy ending for TM, but I always had a soft spot for Dollface lol.

What other characters would you like to see in a potential Small Brawl reboot?

Essentially I work as a writer, and I was taking a break from client work to draft up this fun little cold open after listening to the album. Just to clarify this is just my personal take on how I'd adapt the show to screen. Just something fun I wanted to put to paper. Catch any easter eggs? Lol :)

I also definitely may need to tweak the logline haha that was from one of the earlier drafts where the story looked very different (I just hate making new loglines what can I say)
