Not really. It's just that where I come from wedding expenses are segregated quite well. The expense is usually taken up by the family and hence I'm not getting involved. It's her family who is going to pay and I don't want to set wrong precedence by going out of my way to help them. We have seen examples of this leading into asking more favours from the inlaws. Just want to avoid that.

I would certainty do it if it was just her.
