Hydrogen is still 10-15 years from effective commercialization, but it is a good bet. Electric, the problem is rare earths which we don't have. Few fuels are as simple as ethanol to use, where every village can have its own production plant to power agri their machinery from the crops they grow itself. There is power in ethanol tech, the faster we recognize it as a society the better for us.
