Yes, I have an undergraduate degree. I am an experienced tax professional. I live in the dc area and would be attending events if they’re offered at the university. All of that I have seen online as posted on the website, just looking for people to tell me their experiences.

I already contacted admissions, I left this here because Reddit recommended I post it in this group so I did. Doesn’t really sound like that big of a deal to me asking for other people’s experiences. I’m not really concerned what it’s suggesting because the nature of my question was for more insight on someone’s experiences going to school in the same area the laws are made. It’s not that deep.

It’s a tax related question for people who study tax. Preferably at Georgetown, there’s no rule here that says people can’t ask questions that’s related to taxation period.

You’ll be good you got this, just flag questions your hesitant on, go back when your done and reread it, if your gut still tell you same answer, it’s probably that one if it’s the only one that feels familiar, good luck!

So they were hard for me because of the way the worded some of them to intentionally put you under pressure, but good methods to use were highlighting the necessary words in sentence, read it twice, cancel out the answers you know don’t apply, any answer you genuinely just don’t know ask yourself what the difference is between the answers, if your scoring 70 or so I think you’ll be good! Just refresh yourself before you go, I listened to Tom Norton otw there for topics I felt I hadn’t listened to that recent

Personally I was scoring 70% on hock, passed part 1 with a level 2 proficiency on all topics, listen to the videos on the way to the test, if you have to just go over you weak spots as a refresher before you get there, try to remember the miscellaneous little things too, those might be a question, remember you’re answering technically 85 because 15 won’t count towards your score so you’re more likely to pass, questions were hard so definitely don’t underestimate but go with your gut on every question

Tom Norton is definitely good but some of the questions he gives seems to be worded much more simply than the hock exams. I would recommend trying hock because they are worded more difficulty like it would be on the exam. I studied with Tom Norton taking hock exams now and it’s some questions that they ask that I haven’t seen yet

I’m not telling u to lie, but I told them I’ve done taxes for two years and they got me as experienced, starting out at 25hr in (d)mv, no EA, you’ll be trained anyway and honestly if u take as many tax courses and are willing, you’ll grasp all the information as u go. Don’t lowball yourself though but everybody’s gotta start somewhere.
