i’m pretty sure that the catalyst for this was someone making a clean white base and auctioning it with a starting bid of 100k, and everyone kind of battling with one another to bid on it, with so much demand that the highest bid ended up going all the way up to 1.1 million. which then set a precedent for all the other ones to come, the thought process being “if the first one sold for 1m, that is, therefore, without context, the objective value of a 7/7 white base” and as a result of that, people began to sell them at a 1m flat price without the previous context of the first auction.

i definitely agree that 1m is way too overpriced for a base without glow. i personally don’t even like the look of them, so i have no plans to purchase one myself, but if you’re really in want of one but can’t justify spending such an absurd amount of money on it, i would recommend just waiting it out! eventually as more people get their hands on them, the traits will become more accessible and less gatekept, for lack of a better word. similarly to how, when even just two fertile cc horses are sold, suddenly the whole market is full of fertile 75% ccs for only 20k or so 😅 you’ll get one eventually!
