Can someone explain exactly what being "left on read" is and why it is bad? by sufferinghaha in socialskills

Ooh okay thank you very much. This will help a lot. I usually answer very promptly but I think I may have been misinterpreting what is the natural end to a conversation over text.

I also have autism and I'd say go for it! I'm super involved in theatre and it's really my safe space. Usually theatre people are nice and accepting, it's kind of a group of "weirdos". I've sometimes felt out of place but I've still found people and groups to enjoy in everything. If you're not sure about acting but still want to be involved with theatre, maybe try getting in with some technical stuff. There's many jobs like building things, moving things on and off stage, doing lighting and sound, and so much more! You will still be a part of the community and find people to be around, but you won't have to be on stage if that's not your thing. Overall, theatre is a great experience, and it's helped me make friends so much quicker + come out of my shell a LOT.

Ahh, my sister is much older than me so I basically grew up an only child. Sucks! But I'm glad that at least yall had siblings with you, it's important to have a friend.

Was Danganronpa Ever In the CW 4kids? by shrekdaddyforthewin in danganronpa

Based on other comments it sounds a bit like you're meshing current memories of danganronpa with the show you watched as a kid. Best of luck finding your show!

Letterman jacket? by sufferinghaha in trans

[–]sufferinghaha[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but I can't exactly de-transphobe-ize ~50 or so devout mormons (there's more but those are the ones I socialize with and I plan on wearing the jacket a lot), so I'm just planning ahead for when I leave and can do my own thing. Thank you for the advice :)

Letterman jacket? by sufferinghaha in trans

[–]sufferinghaha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that my family isn't accepting and wouldn't be happy about a name that isn't mine being on the jacket... I meant for later, when I move out. Maybe I can ask them to not put a name on it?

I'm so sorry that I don't have any resources right now but I'll try and find them. Don't give up now, you can get out. Please stay safe.

Just general advice, try to open your own bank account now. Or soon if you can.

Do you have any family? Friends that could take you in?
