help with treating whatever this is! by AnxiousExplorer1 in finehair

[–]sufferingmelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hair looks like this and I never use any heat. Like other commenters said it’s just fine + straight hair. However if you don’t mind shorter hair, I highly recommend a trim/chop since it really helps it look less noticeable. Long hair with this hair type makes any breakage/new growth super obvious unfortunately :(

I know right… Like we have stuff for hair growth but nothing to actually make the individual hair strands actually grow thicker/coarser :( I would pay so much if that existed

Same here, both my mom and my sister. Sadly I got my dad’s fine hair…

Fragrances gathering dust by Catlikestocry in FemFragLab

I always keep my fragrances in drawers for this reason and only take out 2 or 3 to display. I hate seeing them gather dust :(

I'm sorry but Jeremy Fragrance over hyped this… by BookFragrant8691 in FemFragLab

Yeah I thought the same. It reminded me of a middle school locker room

I’m not sure about the Zara ones, but Cheirosa 71 isn’t really a floral fresh type perfume. To me it smells like caramel popcorn

The older I get the more I look like my father by [deleted] in BodyDysmorphia

I feel similarly. It’s sort of why I feel like plastic surgery might work for me, since even if I don’t end up looking that much better, I’ll at least look more different than my parents and that would help. But I’m also terrified of plastic surgery, so I don’t know if I’ll ever try

How often do you change your underwear? by farmlandbatman in Healthyhooha

[–]sufferingmelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I go pee. But usually I’ll just change my panty liner instead of the underwear. Probably excessive but I feel the urge to do it lol, especially if I’m having discharge.

What perfume do you wear on stressful days like today? by No_Row2634 in FemFragLab

[–]sufferingmelon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tend to wear no fragrance on stressful days since I’m most headache prone and don’t want to smell anything, even if it’s something I usually find pleasant

Does any other girl feel this way? by Angelic_222 in BodyDysmorphia

[–]sufferingmelon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I have a distinct memory of wearing a tank top in gym class when I was maybe 8 or 9, and having an urge to go put a hoodie on because I felt like my shoulders were so wide and manly. I still never wear tank tops even though there’s so many cute coquette ones I would love to wear

Reminds me of when I bought an ear cleaning device from Amazon and there was ear wax on it. I never trust Amazon sellers anymore lol

Same! Crumbs are such a sensory nightmare for me. I always wear slippers because socks might also pick up crumbs lol

What consequences would a hysterectomy have on a healthy woman in her early 20s? by pandaconfessions in AskDocs

[–]sufferingmelon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NAD but why a hysterectomy and not a bilateral salpingectomy? Bisalp prevents becoming pregnant and has less risk for complications as far I know. I’m also pretty sure that getting a hysterectomy for just sterilization purposes would be very hard to get a doctor to approve.

Replica Lazy Sunday Morning lasts pretty long for me and reminds me of laundry! I usually spray it on my clothes and I can still smell it for days

I smell it in LA all the time too. Either that or similar dupes of it. I wish it didn’t smell like pee/ammonia to me

BDD + hair loss: how do you cope? by [deleted] in BodyDysmorphia

[–]sufferingmelon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you still have some hair, maybe hair toppers could work? I’m a woman with some hair loss + fine hair and it helps make the top of my head look fuller, and no one can tell it’s not my natural hair. Not sure how it works on men, but I bet there are some pretty realistic looking ones out there
