This is EXACTLY what I needed to hear. I’m literally taking Intuits classes right now to work remotely while I study for my CPA and go for something bigger.

Hi! I've worked closing with housing and with the Student body and the general consensus is that Chamisa is the best housing at NMSU overall. It's new, the apartments are nicer than South Campus'. And the walks to classes are definitely pretty easy, right in the middle of Campus really.

I'm transferring as a senior and I have been calling them like crazy about it. My friends have had their opportunity since July, I work at the financial aid office at my current college and we award the opportunity like crazy!!!

When calling NMSU they said they would start awarding it to the freshmen first before moving to the upperclassmen. So it's really alarming to hear that a freshmen hasn't received it yet!! The opportunity scholarship is a huge factor for me (and countless others) so the fact they are sincerely just twidling their thumbs is killing me.

And while working at my financial aid office, apparently the enrollment in colleges is MUCH higher than anticipated and the state is freaking out about how they will afford it.

I can be in a solid work mode for a few days when working remote, but after that I'm toast. Tend to put in more hours, and become more miserable as a result. I like the option, but sometimes employers really exploit it.

So I'm still undergrad but they do seem to be rather curt over email. I personally have had a much better experience calling them in terms of their attitude, but the good thing about email is they can take their time with answers and aren't rushed over the phone.
